Ziebart Store Of The Future Opens

The first two prototype stores of the future for Ziebart International recently opened in Royal Oak and Madison Heights, MI, sporting a new logo, colors and marketing theme. The new Ziebart look forsakes the blue and gold corporate colors of the Company and introduces a dominant new red sign and red facia accent. The new look is designed to help change the Ziebart image from rustproofing to the Ziebart of the future, offering a complete array of automotive accessories and car-protection services.

Incorporated into the bright crimson design is the new Ziebart marketing theme, "Survival Gear for Cars," which is carried through in Ziebart displays and advertising. It represents a new focus on helping vehicle owners maintain their cars and trucks with a variety of services and accessories.

The carpet-and-tile showroom is laid out in zones, with separate areas for each product line, featuring full-color graphics of products and services. Photos of people enjoying their cars and trucks, and interactive floor displays add a touch of fun to the information provided

GM Pilots Mobile Service Vans A new kind of mobile service is being piloted at GM Goodwrench Service Plus dealerships in the U.S. The pilot program includes five to 10 Chevrolet vans in operation by Houston-area Chevrolet dealers, and additional vans in operation by Cadillac dealers across the country. “The GM Goodwrench Service Plus Mobile Service Vans will initially offer services like special-order part installation,” said Mike Valerio, Zone Manager for Chevrolet in Houston, TX. “But we plan to use customer input received during the pilot phase of the program to determine which services are ultimately offered.” Eventually, GM hopes to incorporate light routine maintenance into the Mobile Service Van program.
