RNR - Iceberg Augie Display
RNR Inc. has been very successful in marketing its plush collectibles with large end aisle type displays and wanted to continue this idea to help promote its newest line, "Iceberg Augie and his Polar Friends". A display was to be created within the customer's budget and to use the theme behind the plush animal when creating graphic enhancements for the large header. The display has to accommodate 70-90 individual plush animals in a visible shoppable area, within a 48" X 40" footprint. The display was to be assembled in less than 15 minutes by the average person. This display achieved all of its requirements and in addition, included a “book rack” to hold 48 storybook/audio packs as well as a feature of the week graphic area to help in-store promotions. The award-winning display was created by Kell Specialty Products, 421 Plamer Street, Chippewa Falls, WI 54729.
Prescriptives Eye Quakes Tester
This display was designed to provide an inexpensive and beautiful way to feature a New Mascara in an open cell environment. The use of die cut e-flute corrugated, hot wire cut EPS foam, thermoformed high impact styrene and litho printed and a gloss UV lacquered SBS wraps, created the open look of a permanent counter top display at temporary display cost. The display achieved a 100% sell-in and an 86% sell through within the marketing period. The Prescriptives Eye Quakes Tester was created by Triangle Display Group, 601 East Erie Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19134.
Guinness World Records
Corrugated Floor Stand
This display was produced to offer expanded merchandising for the world-famous Guinness World Record book into non-traditional mass markets. The displays were reinforced so all the books could be pre-packed into the displays minimizing retail set-up snafus. The display could hold over 60 lbs. of books. The unit was printed rubber plate back with gloss varnish. Displays were shipped along with an optional countertop unit for added exposure for the book and the results were quite successful. The Guinness World Records Corrugated Floor Stand was created by Alpak Manufacturing Corporation, 181 Boyd Street, P.O. Box 339, Montgomery, NY 12549.
Kellogg's Cereal In a Cup Debuts
With On-Counter Merchandising
The Kellogg's Cereal-in-a cup packaging is on view in a unique counter display that is part of a major initiative by Kellogg's to revamp the single serve category in food service locations. Kellogg's is replacing the cardboard box single serving with plastic cups and peelback lids. The convenience of the packaging drove the design of the display which showcases 36 units in limited space. According to Kellogg's representatives, the display is a key selling tool in "grab and go" environments. The display features an injection molded tray with 214 degree crescent shapes which holds the cup securely in place when the display is rotated. Trays which support each level of product can be rotated easily by consumers. A five-color graphics header reinforces Kellogg's brand awareness. Iams Company
Promotional Floor Display
The Iams Company wanted to increase sales of premium cat food in Latin and South America. They came up with a retail display package that includes Eukanuba Cat Food and a promotional give-away plus, soft cat. There are three different cats available. The packages were placed on a floor display. Both items featured direct print flexo. The Iams Company Promotional Floor Display was created by Archbold Container Corporation, 800 West Barr Road, P.O. Inflatable Coca Cola Can
With Goal Post
As an Official Sponsor of Super Bowl, Coca Cola uses these eye-catching inflatables at the point of sale in supermarkets, c-stores and distribution centers across the country. The inflatable Coca Cola Can with Goal Post comes in two different sizes, 36" high and 72" high. Both are used to attract attention at the point of sales. These items are so successful that they are repeated year after year. The inflatables were created by Sterling Promotional Corp., 3010 Westchester Avenue, Purchase, NY 10577.
Canadian Mist
Inflatable World Globe
This Hanging Inflatable World Globe with an inflatable bottle inside it, was used in liquor stores to offer instant brand awareness for Canadian Mist. The globe measured 36" but was available in any size. The inflatable display was easy to install and also used air space instead of the hard-to-find floor space. Manheim Steamroller Christmas Display
Manheim Steamroller’s new CD display introduced "Christmas Extrordinare" with this large display bin that holds 144 CD’s as well as 48 concert DVD’s and 16 piano books. “Christmas Extrordinare” is featured with a UV coated 24-point “pop-out” on the litho laminated header sign, simulating a wrapped CD case. The display also spotlights the new 4-pack CD ”Christmas Collections.” Intrigue has been added to the display by using 24-point "lug-ons" on the base giving the display softer line and holiday appeal. The material used for the body of the display is rod-coated 200# B-flute bleach corrugated fiber board. The rod-coating process gives the display color continuity and color intensity. The Manheim Steamroller Christmas Display was created by Meridian Display & Merchandising, 162 York Avenue East, St. Paul, MN 55117.
Panasonic Shaving Sidekick Display
These sidekick displays were designed to provide a billboard for the product and be space saving at the same time. The displays had to be eye-catching, durable and easily replenished with product. The displays had to be small to allow for wider distribution and were to be easy to set-up at retail. These sidekicks are unique because of the 3D Razor lug-ons and the foil mirror image which draw the consumer's attention to the displays. This “family” of sidekicks may or may not be displayed together at retail. Each display was designed to function as its own merchandising unit. The displays replicated the product packaging exactly. The product is immediately available through the gravity feed system of the display. The Panasonic Shaving Sidekick Displays were created by Oxford Innovations, Division of Tim-Bar Corporation, 201 S. College Avenue, P.O. Box 189, New Oxford, PA 17350-0189.
Brother International
Corrugated Floorstand
This display was designed to display a maximum number of machines with accessories and it was also required to show a functioning machine with actual samples. This floorstand was a strong prepacked unit capable of accommodating the functioning machine along with samples that demonstrated the capabilities of the machine. The display contained a litho riser which depicted the various uses for the machine. The top shelf was also printed with flexographic print direct to corrugated demonstrating additional product information. Pricing information was provided for the retailer on the front of the shelf with additional consumer information provided in a booklet secured to the top shelf. This promotion was so successful that a repeat order is in process as well as plans to expand into other retail outlets. Sunrise Stock Wood Rack
This sturdy stock wood rack holds a good supply of the product and features a colorful header to provide brand recognition. The unit offers good support for the bottles and allows for convenient access to the product from both sides. The Sunrise Stock Wood Rack was created by Coastal Woodworks, P.O. The Aquarian Fish Food Floorstand features bright and colorful graphics with an aquatic theme to attract the consumer's attention. The display is a 3 tier display which was used to offer three varieties of sizes. The brand name was reinforced by appearing on the header, base and all three of the tiers. The Aquarian Fish Food Corrugated Floorstand was created by Weber Display & Packaging, 3500 Richmond Street, Philadelphia, PA 19134.
“Cool Goo” & “Nite Lites” Power Wings
These power wings were designed to achieve key “real estate” in important retail environments essential to launch and merchandise new product lines. “Trendy” graphics capture the attention of teens. These untraditionally shaped Power Wings feature eye-catching litho graphics mounted to E-flute corrugated. Each display ships pre-packed with product ready for installation. Over 8000 power wings have been produced for different promotional periods using new graphics for each run. National distribution includes major retailers such as K Mart and Walmart. Colgate-Palmolive
PDQ Promotional Merchandiser
This display was designed to highlight Colgate's children's toothbrushes and toothpaste by tying it in with a heavily promoted Disney movie launch. This merchandiser features character brushes and paste with a graphic tie in to the launch of Monsters, Inc. A corrugated floorstand with the same graphics was also produced as a companion piece. Based on past performance of this type of promotional display, placement of product and sales are expected to be very strong.
