Case Stacker Promotes Captain Morgan Gold

Diageo is using this promotional case stacker to promote its new Captain Morgan Gold ready-to-drink (RTD) premium malt beverage. Captain Morgan Gold has a crisp taste inspired by the Captain Morgan Original Spiced Rum brand.

Extensive in-store displaysupport is part of the comprehensive $65 million introductory campaign for the beverage.

This display was created for Captain Morgan Gold by Marin’s U.S.A., a p.o.p. display firm based in Norwalk, CT. Marin’s specializes in creating promotional displays that are easy to assemble in-store.



Artisan & Mattel Promote “Barbie As Rapunzel”

Artisan’s Family Home Entertainment (FHE) and Mattel Entertainment will release “Barbie As Rapunzel” available on DVD and VHS.

To support this direct-to-video event, FHE and Mattel plan a multi-million dollar promotional campaign.

FHE has developed cross promotions with other Barbie licensees and is offering valuable rebates. To bolster in-store awareness, FHE has also created a wide array of eye-catching, customized “Barbie As Rapunzel” point-of-purchase displays.

Mattel will help maximize awareness for the entire Barbie As Rapunzel brand. This will include the launch of an extensive line of toys; a McDonald’s Happy Meal promotion; and Nestlé Wonderball candy campaign.

“From integrated promotions to strategic product extensions designed to create a complete ‘Barbie as Rapunzel’ experience for girls, we feel this program is one of the strongest in our Brand’s history,” said Jamie Cygielman, V.P. Marketing, Girls Division, Mattel.

“Barbie As Rapunzel” videos and DVDs will be offered in 24, 36, 48 and 72-count pre-packs .



Wal-Mart Displays Alpha Flavon SPF 15

This counter display was designed to promote Beiersdorf’s Alpha Flavon SPF 15 Lotion and Crème to the mass market at Wal-Mart stores. The objective was to develop growth in open stock sales.

This standard PDQ tray was used as an introductory vehicle making extensive use of graphics. The PDQ tray and insert assemblies are four color process, Litho-Lam B-flute corrugated board.

The merchandiser featured both full size and trial size varieties.

The Alpha Flavon PDQ was successful in introducing SPF 15 Lotion and Crème to Wal-Mart customers.

Spider-Man Merchandising Campaign Unveiled

Columbia TriStar Home Entertainment will support the DVD and video release of its box-office hit, “Spider-Man” with a massive merchandising and promotional program.

“Spider-Man,” which will be available as a 2 DVD set, features exclusive interactive elements and special never-before revealed Spider-Man factoids and a first look at comic book-to-film comparisons. A specially-packaged limited-edition Collector’s DVD Gift Set, loaded with extra features for the ultimate home viewing experience will also be offered.

With more than $100 million in marketing and promotional support, the Spider-Man campaign, will generate over 8 billion impressions. An extensive advertising campaign will encompass tie-in partner advertising and a huge mall presence.

Promotional partners include Cingular Wireless, which will offer an exclusive Spider-Man phone bundle, a groundbreaking DVD-ROM-link online event, a national sweepstakes and an in-pack offer. Dr Pepper will feature an on-pack consumer promotion and a national sweepstakes/instant win offer. Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s restaurants will offer Spider-Man themed 44 oz. collector’s cups, supported with

in-store merchandising.


Appleton Papers has introduced a digital linerboard for the display industry designed to utilize new inkjet printing technology. Appleton applies a proprietary coating to linerboard substrates to significantly enhance the quality of inkjet printing when used with the new Bel2000 six-color flatbed inkjet press. Little Debbie Snacks Features ‘Back to School Display

McKee Foods, makers of Little Debbie snacks, has created a targeted back-to-school display program. “Send Them Back with A Snack in Their Pack” features in-store displays that showcase kids racing back to school with Little Debbie snacks in their backpacks. McKee Foods retained KK&A Integrated Retail Marketing, Chicago, to create and oversee all aspects of the program.

In-store displays for the program feature a red schoolhouse and illustrations of children racing back to school with Little Debbie snacks in their backpacks.



Alpak Manufacturing Corporation offers stock displays which are stock for the brand marketer as well. Tommy Boy Records utilizes one common printing plate for the base of the display, while creating individual header art for the various promotions of its artists. This accomplishes cost reduction, record label identification, brand reinforcement and promotional dexterity. The base and trays are printed one color plus gloss varnish. Merchandising Inventives Inc. offers two versions of a stock corrugated CD counter display, The SDC-75, a three-tier CD counter display with each tier holding 6 CD/s or DVD/s. It is made of #200, E-flute bleached white corrugate and packaged 25 to a case. The SDC-70 is a two-tier corrugated CD Counter Display with each tier holding 6 CD's or DVD's. Proprint Services Inc. offers Base Wrap in Continuous rolls, printed on card or poly stock. Shown is a unique piece for Aquafina which was printed two sided and die cut with a prefer 10 pt. Stock. It was printed and die cut in line, one pass, full 4 color process with a UV coating on both sides. The basewrap was 12" in height with a 24" repeat and length of 25' for a quantity run of 3,100 rolls. Base Wrap is excellent for indoor use around displays and is water resistant to avoid crumbling. Mannheim Steamroller Christmas Displays

This display features a large bin that not only holds 144 CD's, but also 48 concert DVD's and 16 piano books. The display is constructed with a UV coated 24-point "pop-out" on the litho laminated header sign, simulating a wrapped CD case. The display also spotlights a 4-pack CD "Christmas Collection". Intrigue has been added to the display by using 24-point "lug-ons" on the base, giving the display softer line and holiday appeal. The material used for the board which gives the display color continuity and color intensity. Jump Start/Scholastic Display

Scholastic Publishing required a multipurpose display which could serve as both a Power Wing (primary use) as well as a Floor Stand. In addition, they asked of a pre-pack with minimal fillers. The base has to be "thin" with an exaggerated angle to lower the center of gravity. Base, Tray and Inserts were printed one color plus gloss varnish. The Header was printed 4-color process lithography, mounted and die cut. The displays were pre-assembled for fulfillment. The average time range from initial contact to final shipment for this corrugated display was four weeks. Allied Domecq/Hiram Walker Makers Mark Display

The Makers Mark Corrugated Display was designed to promote the product in conjunction with the 2002 Football Season. The Trademark red coating on the Makers Mark bottle top is highlighted with football laces. The display was shipped 60 - 90 days from initial contact. Top-Flite XL3000 24 Dozen Floorstand

This unit was designed to create awareness to product improvements while giving the retailer a profitable/refillable unit. The riser is .010 SBS printed offset 4-colors and varnish laminated to Bflute singleface corrugated. The unique shape of the trays carry a theme that helps the brand more recognizable at retail. The durability of the unit allowed the retailer to restock from inventory. The display makes the product high visible from three sides. The display's unique features created a lot of interest from new and current clientel. The Top-Flite XL300 24 Dozen Floorstand was created by Triangle Display Group, 601 E. Corrugated 4 Shelf Floor Display/Power Wing

This versatile display (SDF-100) can either be used as a floor display or side kick/power wing. Each shelf is 13 ½" W x 5 ¾" deep and the unit comes with four slots in the display back for attaching power wing clips, creating a side kick/power wing display. The display comes individually packed in a bookfold with header card and easy set up instructions. Silken Mist Colorblast Floorstand/Mini Wing

This display is part of a family of "in season" products. The colors of the trays are interchangeable to match the package color of the product being promoted. The shape of the display simulates the curves of a woman's legs. Direct print graphics were created to enhance the graphics on the header. The display consists completely of corrugated paper with CPC clips. Nontraditional placement of trays and curves of back panels grab consumer attention. The Silken Mist Colorblast Corrugated Floorstand/Mini Wing was created by Smurfit-Stone Display Group, 5200 Anthony Road, Sandston, VA 23150.


Aquarian Fish Food Corrugated Floorstand

This display for Aquarian Fish Food features bright and colorful graphics with an aquatic color scheme which attracts the consumer's attention. The display is a three tier display and was used to offer three varieties of product sizes. The brand name appeared on the header, base and all three tiers, reinforcing the brand. The Aquarian Fish Food Corrugated Floorstand was created by Weber Display & Packaging, 3500 Richmond Street, Philadelphia, PA 19134.


Cinco De Mayo Corrugated Beer Display

This Cinco De May Corrugated Beer Display was produced for Labatt USA. Over 1000 units were screen printed onto corrugated, die cut, glued and packed for shipping to a multitude of locations. The uniqueness of the design allowed the beer cases to be stacked within the display and allowed the customer to enter into a festive atmosphere. The 4 sided large display was augmented by smaller P.O.P. standees and other P.O.S. materials.
