Merchandising Marketing Manager
Minneapolis Office, in the IDS Center.

Malt-O-Meal, the nation's fourth largest cereal manufacturer, supplies a full line of branded cereals to all retail channels. Job Function

This position is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of all merchandising strategies that will increase in-store visibility of MOM products and facilitate achievement of sales and marketing goals.

Major Job Activities

· Develop and maintain all in-store merchandising strategies including; Display Ready Shipper Program, Product Image Panels, and the Shelf Merchandising system. Work is accomplished by leading development efforts and collaboration with key internal departments and out-sourced partners.

· Initiate and coordinate activities and projects to improve effectiveness and efficiency of merchandising strategies, as well as developing and maintaining project scorecards related to these activities.

· Develop and execute merchandising options that increase ROI.

· Develop and test new merchandising concepts. Update new concept portion of Merchandising scorecard, and report test results to senior management on a quarterly basis.

· Insure budget compliance by managing vendor portfolio, analyzing sales and profit impact of various strategies, and driving down outsourcing costs for all services and products.

Job Requirements · Education: 4 year college degree-business or marketing major preferred.

· Experience: 5 years experience in retail merchandising (grocery merchandising preferred). Experience in consumer packaged goods industry desired. Some familiarity with Packaging Engineering and conceptual point of purchase retail merchandising. Must have knowledge and understanding of strategic merchandising plans.

· Skills: Strong interpersonal skills (listening, understanding others, teamwork), project management (must manage through other departments and outside suppliers). Knowledge of graphics, pre-press, and print production processes and display manufacturing processes (both permanent and temporary); written/spoken communication skills, budget management know-how, and ability to give work direction to others.
