hood exhibits created this exhibit for NanaWall Systems. The objective was to design a clean modern and visually impactful exhibit of NanaWall's l,000+lb. window system and engineer a transportable super-structure display for the heavy product. This is a 20' by 30' island exhibit made from laminate wood, fiberglass and metal. The exhibit features three display walls on a large truss. The structure allowed the demonstration of each NanaWall system as it would operate in the real world. Attendees were able to test and understand the smooth functionality of the products. This 20' x 20' custom exhibit uses a Zen garden-inspired design to leverage Mitsubishi Electric's Japanese heritage. It helps position Mitsubishi as a leader in the growing photovoltaic market. The calming effect achieved by visual elements such as rake-patterned sand, rounded river stones, carved stools and live apple blossoms is reinforced by ambient sound effects. The design elements can be used in smaller configurations for regional shows. For more information, contact Bowman Design Group, 1870 Obispo Avenue, Signal Hill, CA 90755.

This exhibit was built for NBC Universal Television Networks, Sci-Fi Channel. The exhibit is a departure from traditional exhibit design as it comprises one continuous sculptural figure which becomes a free standing autonomous object in which furniture, audio, video and multimedia are imbedded within. The development of the Sci-Fi stand called for intensive 3D modeling and machining. A model was utilized with a computer to produce a full scale sculpture made from high density foam from which panels were molded. Finishes were selected including the nova lilac pearl high gloss enamel on the sculpture, which looks gray in one light, yet glows softly purple in the next. Imbedded hardware projects customized multimedia onto the surface of the sculpture. For more information, contact GRAFT, 3200 N. Figueroa Street, Los Angeles, CA 90065 (Web site) www.graftlab.com
