Carhartt Debuts Denim Modular Display
Carhartt has always produced a product that has a rugged appeal. To promote its denim, Carhartt used a modular pallet display custom designed and manufactured by Meridian Display and Merchandising, a full service point-of-purchase design and manufacturing firm based in St. Paul, MN.
Each modular bin is wire reinforced to accommodate the weight of the product. The display can be used as a 1/2 pallet (8 bins) or as a full pallet (16 bins). Graphics panels can be interchanged for different promotions. The header is premounted with fluting wire for easy set up. The displays have been shipped to clothing retailers nationwide.

Wolverine Unveils New UP Footgear Store
Wolverine World Wide’s new UP Footgear store, targeted at 20-somethings is designed to look like an urban loft apartment, tapping into the popularity of such TV shows as “Friends.” Fictional characters, Bob and Heidi, Glen and Michelle, and Adam and Beth, form the foundation for the store.
Footwear is merchandised according to categories based on the roommate’s style preferences: urban, rugged or casual. Distressed metals are used for the store exterior. In the side window, a kinetic merchandiser is designed to look like an elevator cable mechanism. A lenticular window shows an urbanscape that you might see from a loft window. Several monitors broadcast images from Web-cams positioned throughout the store. The loft kitchen/cashwrap displays UP branded merchandise, such as gumballs, Frisbees, and mugs.
The UP Footgear store was designed by Chute Gerdeman, based in Columbus, OH.
