POS Conveys Upscale Image For Serta Masterpiece

The new Serta Masterpiece product line is intended to appeal to the discriminating consumer, thus the point-of-sale promotions had to portray this message. This Serta Masterpiece sign conveyed an upscale brand image through the use of rich purple colors and soft back lighting creating a feeling of wealth and warmth. This sign is very different from the signs typically found in this industry. It is made of heat bent, silk screened polycarbonate plastic illuminated by fluorescent lamps. The signs were used in furniture and bedding stores to create a visual difference between Serta and its competitors at the point-of-sale. The Serta Masterpiece sign was created by Everbrite, Inc., a Greenfield, WI-headquartered p.o.p. firm.

Eveready Battery Features Profile Display

Eveready Battery Company, Inc. is featuring this Energizer Profile Display, in two versions, 36" and 48", to accommodate the merchandising needs or various retailers and specialty departments. Two displays fit back to back to form an "island" display for even more versatility. The three sided header reinforces the brand image while the sidewings have promotional or account specific signage. The Energizer Profile Display was created by Gage In-Store Marketing, a Minneapolis, MN-based p.o.p. display and promotion firm.

Franklin Mint Expands Merchandising Programs

The Franklin Mint, Franklin Center, PA, the world’s leadng direct marketer of fine-quality collectibles, has expanded its retail merchandising programs to include collector knives. This custom designed display case creates a distinctive, upscale environment for merchandising Franklin’s new knife collections. It is designed to appeal not just to existing Franklin collectors, but to attract new collectors as well. The Franklin Mint’s products are displayed in gift shops, toy and hobby and specialty stores nationwide

Kohler Display Offers Versatility

This Kohler Engine Parts Display provides a small footprint while at the same time being able to support full-size replacement engine, cases of oil and engine parts. This self-sufficient display system can be used freestanding, one-sided, back-to-back, wall-mounted, or in-line. The perforated metal merchandiser is powder coated with peg hooks holding packaged parts on the face section and a rubber mat beneath the engine on the base. This Kohler Display was created by Frank Mayer & Associates, Inc., a Grafton, WI-headquartered p.o.p. display firm.

HSS Announces Marketing Relationship With True Value

The Home Service Store (HSS) has developed a marketing relationship with True Value, which will join True Value’s retail product offerings with the array of home maintenance, repair and improvement services of The Home Service Store. HSS offers homeowners and small business owners easy access and referral to a pre-qualified network of expert trades professionals and backs all work with an exclusive member protection guarantee. Tom Filipski, True Value’s Sr. VP Marketing, said, “True Value believes this relationship with Home Service Store will add an important service dimension to its offerings and will give its customers an additional benefit not available through other hardware retailers

Lowe’s & Alexander Julian Team Up

Lowe’s, the world’s second largest home improvement retailer, and Alexander Julian, fashion and home furnishings designer, are teaming up to introduce a consumer-friendly home decorating and improvement program covering a wide range of products to be available throughout Lowe’s 576 stores nationwide. The “Alexander Julian At Home” program will include wallcoverings, paint, window treatments, flooring, rugs, carpeting and kitchen cabinets and countertops. Lowe’s is the first to have the full “Alexander Julian At Home” program, and it is the only place where all these products will be available under one roof. “This is just another way we are improving home improvement, by offering everything from lumber and nails to the carpeting and paint choices that make a house a home,” said Robert Tillman, Lowe’s Chairman and CEO.

Craftsman Quiet Feed Sprinkler Introduced

The new Craftsman Quiet Feed Lawn Sprinkler saves time and effort by watering and fertilizing the lawn simultaneously. It feeds the lawn using water soluble fertilizer or the sprinkler can be used for watering only. The sprinkler’s base holds up to three packets of Miracle Gro Lawn Feed and provides coverage up to 3,000 sq. ft.

French Touch Stainless Steel Cookware Display

The objective of this display was to create a visually attractive unit that would enhance the product by showcasing it in its most natural setting. The display is flexo printed corrugated with full litho laminated tray/ header and clear film lamination. Metal and plastic hooks were used to display the product. This display which won a Gold OMA in the Home and Garden category, was created by Justman Packaging & Display, 5819 Telegraph Road, City of Commerce, CA 90040.
3M Permanent Clip Strip. These permanent clip strips provide high impact merchandising for Post-It notes and Scotch tape in office superstores nationwide. The space efficient unit attached to gondola uprights. Common injection molded tooling for both products resulted in timing and cost efficiencies.
