Martha Stewart Crafts Line Launches
Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia is launching the Martha Stewart Crafts line. The line features more than 650 SKUs, including a wide array of materials for paper crafting and scrapbooking, with exclusive paper designs, beautiful embellishments, as well as convenient binders and storage systems that help keep everything organized.
Debuting exclusively at more than 900 Michaels stores in the U.S. and Canada, the Martha Stewart Crafts line will be a complete crafts destination, including products, inspiration, and educational materials, all arranged to create a “store-within-a-store” feel.
Maytag P.O.S. Helps Revitalize 100-Year-Old Brand
Maytag® brand has launched a marketing campaign featuring the new Maytag® Repairman, Clay Jackson.
The new Maytag brand advertising is part of a multi-media, integrated marketing campaign that includes all new point-of-purchase materials and literature. Publicis New York, Maytag brand’s advertising agency of record, created the television spots.
ARS Advertising, the print agency of record for Maytag brand, has recently redesigned the collateral for both consumer and trade efforts, as well as in- store executions, and is collaborating with partnering agencies to bring the Maytag brand photography to the next level.
The display shown highlights Maytag’s heritage, with the tag line, “A Century of Maytag Dependability.” The display features historic Maytag photos.
Home Depot Launches Eco Options
The Home Depot has expanded its long-term commitment to the environment and sustainability by launching its Eco Options program in the U.S. Eco Options is a classification that allows customers to easily identify products that have less of an impact on the environment and empowers them to help make a difference in their own homes.
The Home Depot has identified more than 2,500 Eco Options products, including all-natural insect repellents, cellulose insulation, front-load washing machines, organic plant food and vegetables in biodegradable pots. The wide array of Eco Options also includes compact fluorescent light (CFL) bulbs, programmable thermostats and certified wood. The Eco Options line will be continuously expanded to include scores of innovative products that reduce the impact on the environment.
Special Eco Options displays are rolling out in Home Depot stores across the country.
The launch will capitalize on the growing trend of consumers embracing environmentalism.
P&G Launches PUR Flavor Options
Procter & Gamble is introducing PUR Flavor Options, which allows consumers to choose flavored or unflavored water from their home water filter. By simply inserting a flavor cartridge into the new pitcher or faucet mount and pushing the button, consumers can add as much or as little fruit flavor as they like to a glass, providing a convenient, calorie-free beverage option.
PUR Flavor Options are available in Raspberry, Strawberry and Peach.
Dacor Dishwashers With Colored Glass
Dacor has responded to the increasing demand for color in kitchen appliances with the first 24" dishwasher in an array of striking colors for the brand’s Preference Collection.
The dishwashers have a floating glass front panel in six attractive hues: Anthracite Gray, Sterling Gray, Titanium Silver, Blue Water, Slate Green and Black.

Valley Forge Flag Company is using this ‘Flag House’ Pallet Display in Lowe’s stores. The theme of the display program is “Decorate Your House with The Greatest Name in Flags--Valley Forge Flag.” As of July, Valley Forge Flag sales at Lowe's is up 44% vs. a year ago. This is mainly attributable to the success of this pallet display program.

This Style Step Display was designed to ship KD and take the least amount of space in an effort to reduce shipping costs. The program was engineered with packed parts nested together to reduce the overall carton size for shipping. The program was well received in the field and shipped at the lowest freight classification rate possible. It was distributed to various auto parts stores and expected to be used for 3 - 5 years.

Fluke is using this permanet display to merchandise its measurement tools at hardware retailers. The durable display is on casters, enabling retailers to easily place the display and move it to different locations within the store. The display graphics complement the packaging graphics to provide a strong brand identity. The display supports a large value of product in a compact area, and it also has a literature holder.
This display introduces a new "all-natural" fertilizer which is environmentally friendly and is actually l00" worm poop, marketed in used soda bottles, thereby reducing waste in the environment through the sale of the product. Alpak Display Group was selected as their P.O.P supplier of choice in part because it its commitment to pursuing environmentally friendly P.O.P. Alpak was one of the first display companies in the country to convert its oil-based press into a water-based press and one of the first to set up an in-house ink-treatment waste system.
