Poster Cruiser Kiosk Placed In Stores
2d Interactive is helping national advertisers capture the attention of young adults and college students through the PosterCruiser computerized retail kiosk. By touching the kiosk screen, consumers get a full sensory experience by seeing and hearing their favorite video clips, movie trailers or commercials. Consumers can purchase a collectible poster of the print ad which is neatly gift-wrapped and housed in the lower-half of the PosterCruiser.
Facilitated by a fully integrated networked system, consumers are invited to interact with 2d and the advertisers by voicing opinions, asking questions and naming their favorite ads. A 20" video screen tops the 72" high PosterCruiser which holds 432 posters in its lower half. With the ability to retrieve usage information daily, 2d Interactive can compile on demand consumer profile data.
Universal Studios & Shell Oil Launch Kiosk Program
Universal Studios Florida has teamed with Shell Oil Products, to produce a travel industry first"state-of-the-art computerized kiosks allowing the two companies to provide a wide range of services including theme park and other attraction ticket sales, street directions, and restaurant and hotel reservations.
"The Kiosks rely on brightly colored touch screens with easy-to-use menus and will have telephone hook-ups for travelers to use, if needed. The Kiosks, which will be called InfoZones, will be placed in hotel lobbies, Shell service stations, drug stores, and supermarkets.
"The kiosks give us a powerful, new way of marketing Universal as we expand into a global entertainment
destination," said Ron Heuer, President of the Universal City Travel Co.

GNC Installs Interactive Touch-Screen System
General Nutrition Corporation (GNC), a leading retailer of health products, needed a way to provide detailed customer information on the dozens of vitamin, mineral and botanical compounds it offers.
GNC turned to Advanced Media, the Bohemia, NY-based developer of interactive multimedia, to produce and install an interactive touch-screen systems application network. The systems applications combine interactive touch screen video displays with audio, animation and graphics to provide customers with comprehensive, reliable information on the GNC products while also providing GNC with valuable customer feedback.
Kodak & Turner Launch Mktg. Effort
Eastman Kodak Co., and Turner Broadcasting Sales, have formed a three-year alliance built around the Atlanta Braves and their new ballpark, Turner Field in Atlanta. The marketing campaign focuses on Kodak’s state-of-the-art digital photo systems and makes use of ballpark signage and souvenir opportunities at the new Turner.
Field.Four free-standing "Braves Scrapbook" self-service interactive kiosks will allow fans to select and purchase their favorite pictures from a treasure trove of the team’s archives. Using Kodak’s "Photo treasury" system fan will be able to purchase photographs which have been digitized and can be printed out while they wait. In addition, a "Braves Rookie Card" outlet will enable fans to create their own baseball cards, based on Kodak’s event systems technology.
McDonald’s Kiosk Expands Distribution To Gas Stations
McDonald’s recently expanded its distribution to "express" locations at gas stations with the objective of making its products available as an impulse purchase to the already-present consumer.
Eagle River Interactive, Scottsdale, AZ, designed a touch-screen kiosk that was integrated into the gas station pump. The kiosk works by sending orders inside to McDonald’s employees who deliver food orders directly to customers. Customers have several payment options, including adding it to the charge card used to purchase gas.
Kiosk design elements were consistent with the McDonald’s look and feel.
Meyer Interactuve Cookware Display
Meyer Corporation needed a comprehensive in-store marketing program to showcase its quality cookware in department stores, build awareness and educate consumers about each line being offered under the company’s Five Star umbrella. The merchandising system created a "home-like" shop in-shop setting consistent with department store merchandising strategy and effectively communicated the brand’s positioning as a high-end cookware. A cornerstone of this merchandising system is the Cookware Information Center Kiosk. The easy-to-use touchscreen computer with 200 programmed options, delivers comprehensive information and reflects the upscale positioning of Meyer’s Five Star Cookware line.
