Coca-Cola Launches Coca-Cola With Lime
Coca-Cola N.A. has launched Coca-Cola with Lime. The new product will be supported with an extensive marketing campaign.
“Many people already enjoy a slice of lime with their Coca-Cola so it seemed natural to include a splash of lime flavor in our flagship brand,” said Randy Ransom, Sr. V.P., Coca-Cola.
Sara Lee Heart Healthy Whole Grain Breads Debut
Sara Lee Bakery Group is expanding its whole-grain offerings with the introduction of Sara Lee Heart Healthy Plus whole-grain breads that are fortified with fiber, calcium, vitamin D and folic acid.
The breads have twice the fiber and calcium of typical wheat breads and will offer the health benefits of whole grains along with other vitamins and minerals.
Budweiser Select Launched Nationally
Anheuser-Busch is launching Budweiser Select, a “new kind of beer” that is brewed for a crisp taste with no aftertaste. The brand spends approximately twice as long as regular beers in the brewhouse and is described as a sophisticated, upscale beer for all drinking occasions.
Budweiser Select is supported by a full line of p.o.s. and merchandising materials.
Beck’s Premier Light Is First Low Carb Import
InBev USA has launched Beck’s Premier Light. With just 64 calories, Beck’s Premier Light will be the lowest calorie beer in the U.S.
Victor Melendez, Director of Marketing, InBev USA., said, “Not only does the beer have incredibly low calories, but it will be the first low carb import to hit the U.S. market.”
Hefty Serve 'n Store Tableware Is New Category
Pactiv Corp. has launched Hefty Serve ‘n Store disposable plates and bowls, a new category of kitchen convenience which provides the functionality of microwavable disposable tableware and storage containers. Hefty Serve ‘n Store products go from the table, to the refrigerator to the microwave and back again, providing one disposable product for serving, storing and reheating.
Pactiv is supporting the launch with extensive advertising and promotion.
Tide Coldwater Is Launched
Procter & Gamble’s new Tide Coldwater laundry detergent helps consumers reduce their energy bills while delivering deep cleaning in cold water. The introductory marketing campaign highlights the money saved by washing in cold water and the product’s deep cleaning abilities.
Consumers will see a variety of displays promoting the money and energy savings.
Olympus m:robe 500 Is Launched
Olympus Imaging America has launched the m:robe 500, the first digital music player with a built-in digital camera. It stores and plays as many as 5000 digital songs and also includes a digital camera. With m:robe, users can create personalized dynamic “remixes” that blend music and pictures together.
The ad tagline is “Let Your Pictures Groove.”
LeapFrog Launches Fly Pentop Computer
LeapFrog Enterprises has launched the FLY pentop computer, designed to bring computer interactivity to pen and paper. For instance, a FLY pentop computer user can draw a calculator, touch the handwritten digits and functions to perform an operation, then hear the answer announced.
Jim Marggraff, developer of the FLY pentop computer, said “The FLY pentop computer will assist people of all ages in the mastery of core academic subjects and provide a new genre of entertainment.”
SanDisk Introduces Line Of Flash-Based MP3 Players
SanDisk has introduced the SanDisk Sansa e100 series of small, highly portable digital music players that use embedded flash memory to store many hours of digital music.
Eric Bone, Director of Retail Product Marketing at SanDisk said, “We designed the SanDisk Sansa line with many advanced features that include an easy-to-navigate interface, enhanced sound quality, and the ability to expand storage capacity.”
Yahoo!-Brand Electronics Are Introduced
Diamond Electronics has licensed the Yahoo! name for the launch of five new Yahoo!-branded consumer electronics products. The electronics products include two home theater systems and three standard DVD players.
“Yahoo! is one of the most recognized and well-respected brands in the world, and Diamond Electronics is pleased to be able to license the equity of the Yahoo! brand for our consumer electronics products,” said Russell Herring, V.P., Diamond Electronics.
Sirius Introduces Palm Sized Satellite Radio
Sirius Satellite Radio has introduced its smallest “Plug & Play” satellite radio, Star Mate, at retail.
Star Mate, which is about the size of a deck of cards, can be used in vehicles, boats and homes, and provides access to Sirius’ 65 channels of commercial-free music as well as over 55 channels of news, sports, and information.
Jacuzzi Teams With Ferrari Designer To Create Whirlpool Bath Tubs
Jacuzzi has unveiled a new series of Whirlpool baths that were designed in conjunction with Pininfarina, legendary for their Ferrari car designs. Morphosis is a new Jacuzzi initiative focused on seeking out ventures in order to combine the best design aspects from outside the bath industry with the performance and technology Jacuzzi is known for.
“This first series of tubs coming out of the Morphosis initiative are luxury whirlpool baths designed for the most discerning homeowner,” said Kent Baker, President of Jacuzzi Whirlpool Bath.
