Olay Debuts Ribbons Body Wash

Procter & Gamble has introduced the Olay Ribbons Body Wash line, featuring a patented dual-stream ‘ribbon’ technology, which moisturizes, cleanses and protects skin from future dryness.

The line includes OlayBody Wash plus Lotion Ribbons, OlayBody Wash plus Creme Ribbons, and OlayBody Wash plus Body Butter Ribbons.

Mary Johnson, Olay Scientist, said, “Dual-stream ‘ribbon’ technology allows Ribbons Body Wash to wrap skin in more moisturizers than any competitive body wash and stop dry skin before it starts.”


Dannon Introduces Activia

Dannon Co. has introduced Activia, the first probiotic yogurt clinically proven to help naturally regulate the digestive system in two weeks, when eaten daily as part of a healthy and balanced diet. Each 4 oz. serving of Activia contains billions of beneficial cultures.

Dannon’s U.S. launch of Activia is being supported by advertising, consumer promotions and in-store promotions.


Michael Collins Irish Whiskey Is Launched

Sidney Frank Importing Co. has added Michael Collins Irish Whiskey to its portfolio of award-winning wines and spirits. It is named for the legendary Irish hero, Michael Collins, who spearheaded Ireland’s struggle for independence and was the architect of the Treaty of 1921. Michael Collins Whiskey is contained in an elegant bottle inspired by the crystal of Ireland.


Wonder Debuts 100% Whole Grain White Breads

Wonder is rolling out three new bread varieties created specifically for people who love the taste and texture of white bread, but who want to add whole grain nutrition to their diets. The line includes Wonder Made With Whole Grain White, Wonder White Bread Fans 100% Whole Grain, and Wonder Kids. “Kids love white bread, but moms want them to have whole grain goodness,” said Stan Osman, V.P., Marketing at Interstate Bakeries.


Coca-Cola Cinnabon Coffee Drink Debuts

Coca-Cola Consolidated is introducing three Cinnabon coffee drink flavors based on the super-premium Cinnabon sweet roll brand. Coffee lovers will be able to enjoy Cinnabon coffees in Cinnamon Vanilla Latte, Caramel Nut Latte and Espresso & Cream flavors at convenience stores, grocery stores and restaurants.

Coca-Cola Consolidated has partnered with New York-based Brain Twist Inc. to enter the growing ready to drink coffee beverage category.


Quaker Oatmeal To Go Offers Convenient Nutrition

Quaker Oats is launching Oatmeal to Go, a hand-held breakfast that offers all the heart-health benefits of a bowl of instant oatmeal.

“Two of the most important trends in the breakfast business are portability and whole grains, and Quaker Oatmeal to Go delivers on both fronts,” said Reagan Ebert, Quaker Foods V.P., Marketing.


SWISSMEMORY s.beat MP3 Player Introduced

The new SWISSMEMORY s.beat digital audio player from Swissbit and Victorinox, the makers of the Swiss Army Knife, is an all-in-one digital audio player and USB storage device incorporated into a full-metal Swiss Army Knife. The SWISSMEMORY s.beat series of flash-based digital audio players is available in 1GB and 2GB models.

Tychi Systems Ships Biometric Doorknob

Tychi Systems is shipping its new BioKnob, the first doorknob with fingerprint recognition. Users brush their fingers across the knob to unlock the door. 100 sets of fingerprints can be stored and an audit feature records entries by Individual, Date and Time.

With BioKnob, families do not need to carry keys or hide one in the yard.


Moen Launches Faucet With ChoiceFlo Technology

Moen’s new Chateau faucet with ChoiceFlo technology allows consumers to get both filtered and ordinary tap water from the same faucet with no unsightly attachments required. Consumers switch from tap to filtered water, by simply turning the filtration handle.

“This is a breakthrough in how consumers receive filtered water in their homes-and at their kitchen sinks,” said Tim McDonough, Moen’s Director of New Growth Markets.


Sharper Image Introduces AirSanitizer

The Sharper Image has launched its exclusive AirSanitizer with UVC Germicidal Protection.

The AirSanitizer is designed to significantly reduce exposure to airborne bacteria and flu viruses by killing airborne infectious microorganisms with a germicidal ultraviolet Philips Sterilamp.


Nintendo Launches True Swing Golf

Nintendo has launched True Swing Golf, which brings a new level of realism to a video golf game. True Swing Golf lets players use the touch screen of Nintendo DS to actually swing a stylus to launch their shots down the fairway. The touch screen accurately registers everything from powerful drives to delicate greenside approaches.


Bang & Olufsen Enters Automotive Sector

Bang & Olufsen, a global provider of high end home theaters and custom multi-room music systems, has entered the automotive sector with an Advanced Sound System custom made for the Audi A8 and S8 models.
