SkinCola Is Launched
SkinCola is launching its super oxygenated beverage, composed of purified water, activated oxygen and Z-Bec, which promotes cell growth and repair. Consuming SkinCola hydrates the skin as the Oxygen content repels free radicals and helps to prevent tissue breakdown, making it “the first skin care beverage.”
SkinCola is packaged in old-fashioned glass soda pop bottles which prevent the Oxygen seepage that occurs in plastic containers.
Campbell Soup Introduces “M'm! M'm! Good! To Go”
Campbell Soup has introduced “M'm! M'm! Good! To Go” microwaveable soups.
Soup is consistently a top choice for consumers preparing lunch at home, but falls low on the list for out-of-home lunch choices. With simple microwave preparation and portable packaging, the new line tackles the number one barrier to eating soup outside of the home - convenience.
Colgate-Palmolive Launches Disposable DishWipes
Colgate-Palmolive has introduced Palmolive Dishwipes, the first of its kind in this category. To use the disposable cloth-like wipes, consumers add water to create lather and wash as usual. Each wipe is designed to last through an entire load of dishes.
The launch will be supported with advertising, in-store promotions, FSI’s and sampling.
Olay Regenerist Introduced
Procter & Gamble has introduced Olay Regenerist, formulated with the exclusive Olay Amino-Peptide Complex, regenerates the skin’s appearance by renewing its outer layer one cell at a time. The line of three products, a serum, cream, and lotion, helps improve the skin’s moisture barrier and renew its outer layer to reduce the appearance of wrinkles.
Olay Regenerist is available in three non-greasy versions: Daily Regenerating Serum, Perfecting Cream, and Enhancing Lotion.
Boston Beer Co. Launches Samuel Adams Utopias
The Boston Beer Co., is introducing a limited edition unique, “extreme” brew, Samuel Adams Utopias, holding the official record as “The Strongest Beer in the World.” “Samuel Adams Utopias breaks the boundaries of what people traditionally think of as beer,” said Jim Koch, President of Boston Beer Co.
Samuel Adams Utopias is 25% alcohol by volume. It is a rich after-dinner drink similar to a vintage Port, fine cognac or old sherry.
Calgon Introduces Tropical Dream
CALGON has partnered with MTV’s hottest DJ, DJ Skribble, to launch its Tropical Dream scent.
Exclusively for CALGON Tropical Dream fans, DJ Skribble created a never-heard-before 20 minute mega mix CD. With the purchase of any Tropical Dream product, body mist, body lotion or shower gel, customers can mail in their “proof of purchase” to receive the CD.
Frito-Lay Launches Natural & Organic Line
Frito-Lay has launched its new Natural line of snacks including Tostitos Organic Blue Corn Tortilla Chips, Cheetos Natural White Cheddar Puffs and Lay’s Natural Country BBQ Potato Chips.

GE Introduces SmartSecurity System
GE Consumer Products has introduced the GE SmartSecurity Wireless Do-It-Yourself Alarm and Monitoring System. The GE SmartSecurity is a self-contained wireless security system and lighting control center that retails for less than $200 and does not require any wiring or expensive installation.
Allied Domecq Launches Kuya
Allied Domecq has launched Kuya, a Fusion Rum, combining imported rums, natural spices and citrus flavors, creating a new category.
“Kuya will revolutionize the rum market and create enjoyable drinking experiences for 21 to 29-year-old consumers who enjoy rum,” said Simon Cunningham, Exec. V.P., Marketing, Allied Domecq Spirits.
Allied Domecq will support Kuya with thousands of “React to the Beat” on-premise sampling events.
Logitech Launches NetPlay Controller
Logitech has launched the Logitech NetPlay Controller.“Online gaming, often requires the functionality of both a gamepad, to control the actions of a character, and a keyboard, to type everything from game commands to messages to the opposition,” said Fred Swan, Director of Marketing for Logitech. “NetPlay Controller will give online gamers the best of both worlds, allowing them to type and use the gamepad without having to juggle two different devices.”
Frills Home Spa Line Is Launched
Cosmar Corp. has launched Frills, an at-home spa-treatment line, which will be sold at mass merchandisers.
The line includes Manicure SEAcrets, a hand and nail facial kit, Sweet Thing, a hands and feet treatment kit which includes a pineapple sugar hand and foot scrub, and Hey Sugar, a pineapple sugar hand and foot scrub.
