Coors Engineers Convenient 'Cooler Box'

Coors Brewing Co. has rolled out a new, innovative package: the “Cooler Box.” Now, beer drinkers can crack the case and dump ice right into the plastic-lined shell of the box, creating an instant cooler engineered to keep beer cold and refreshing.

The Coors Cooler Box holds 18 plastic bottles.


Island Breeze By Bacardi Lite Spirit Launched

Bacardi U.S.A. has launched Island Breeze, the first lite spirit, with half the calories of traditional spirits and half the calories of wine. Island Breeze satisfies consumers’ desire to enjoy delicious cocktails and still watch their calories. Island Breeze is made with Bacardi rum, infused with natural fruit flavors and sucralose, a natural-sugar substitute with no caloric content.

Island Breeze is available in three flavors, Key Lime, Coconut, and Wild Berry.


airforce Radiant Nutrisoda Debuts

Ardea Beverage Co. has launched the beauty beverage, airforce Radiant Nutrisoda. Radiant contains skin health nutrients as well as natural colors, fruit flavors and zero calories. Amino acids L-lysine, L-proline and L-arginine plus the herb gotu kola help stimulate production of collagen and facilitate soft tissue repair and fight signs of premature aging.


Beringer Targets Female Consumer

Beringer Blass Wine Estates is introducing the first premium California wine to be designed by women for the U.S. female consumer. White Lie Early Season Chardonnay is low in calories, sugar and alcohol.

To support the launch, Beringer plans to reach women through targeted ads and in-store promotional materials.


Pepperidge Farm Whims Reinvigorates Cookies

Pepperidge Farm has launched Whims cookies, bite-sized cookies available in two varieties, clusters and waves. This treat can be eaten at home, at work or on the go.

Whims cookies are Pepperidge Farm’s answer to the poppable snack trend. The cookies are packaged in a unique canister that sits equally well in the kitchen cabinet or a car’s cupholder.

Packaging graphics convey the product’s playfulness.


Smucker’s Sundae Singles Toppings Are Launched

Available in Hot Fudge and Caramel flavors, Smucker's Sundae Singles are individually-portioned and microwavable toppings, perfect for a little indulgence any time of the day.

“We’ve taken the most popular toppings and packaged them in convenient single-serve cups,” said Maribeth Badertscher, Communications Manager, J.M. Smucker Company. “Whether served with ice cream or other snacks, consumers can enjoy Smucker's toppings with ease, any time, anywhere.”


Xbox 360 Console Is Announced

Microsoft has unveiled the Xbox 360, a next -generation game and entertainment system with a wireless controller.

Every Xbox 360 game is designed for high-definition, wide-screen televisions. Connect Xbox 360 to a broadband connection and get instant access to Xbox Live Silver, available for no monthly service charge with an Xbox 360 system.

Players can connect with friends anywhere through Xbox Live voice chat; send and receive text and voice messages; and download demos and trailers.


Nintendo Debuts Game Boy Micro

Nintendo is introducing the Game Boy Micro system, the smallest and sleekest Game Boy product Nintendo has ever created. The Game Boy Micro measures a mere 4" wide, 2" tall and .7 " deep, allowing it to sit comfortably alongside today’s hippest technological gadgets. It weighs only 2.8 ounces yet has the same processing power and plays the same games as Game Boy Advance SP models.


Memorex Introduces DVD Media

Memorex is debuting its new Director’s Cut recordable DVD media, ideal for movie buffs and home movie producers. A movie reel-style metal storage tin comes with each package. These tins help maintain the integrity of important recordings by preventing exposure to light.

“Consumers will look for DVD media that provide longer-lasting preservation for their home movies and personal video collections,”said Brad Yeager, Director, Product Marketing, Optical Media.


Kodak EasyShare V-Series Digital Cameras Debut

Kodak EasyShare V-series digital cameras were introduced featuring video capabilities. For the first time, videos can be easily turned into still pictures for printing and sharing. Videos can be watched on the cameras’ LCD screens.

Mary-Irene Marek, Marketing Manager, Kodak, said “The new EasyShare V-Series cameras make it simple to take and share videos and pictures, while being chic and small enough to slip into the newest designer handbag.”


Schwinn Introduces Sting-Ray Electric

The new Sting-Ray Electric shares the original design characteristics of the Street Series Sting-Ray, but adds an electric motor and battery pack. It will reach 14 mph and the battery will last two hours.

“Electric bicycles are a hot trend right now,” said Chris Hornung, CEO, Pacific Cycle, owner of the Schwinn Bicycles brand. “The Sting-Ray Electric takes this trend to a higher level by marrying superior power assist technology with the chopper design that Schwinn introduced to the market with the Sting-Ray.”


Tony Hawk Helmet Cam Debuts

Digital Blue has launched the Tony Hawk Helmet Cam, a digital camcorder that attaches to a helmet. Digital Blue created the product to enable skateboarders, cyclists, snow boarders and other sports enthusiasts to make their own sports videos as exciting as any on TV.

The Tony Hawk Helmet Cam comes with a 32MB memory card recording up to 30 minutes of video and sound. The software lets kids edit their own videos alongside footage of Tony Hawk.
