When the International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS) show moved up to McCormick Place’s newly opened West Hall, longtime exhibitors like Schunk, specialists in toolholding, workholding and automation, wanted to reach new heights. “Exhibiting in the lower level of McCormick place always presented a challenge for us because there were height limitations and columns all over the place that interrupted booth space,” said Milton Guerry, Schunk’s V.P., North American Operations. Schunk worked with Nimlok Chicago, which created a 40’ X 100’" double-deck exhibit featuring 24 feet high flowing banners above the space. To efficiently organize the space and delineate the messages Schunk needed to communicate, Nimlok Chicago created individual kiosks for each of their five targeted industries. The end result was an open free-flowing space where visitors could take a hands-on approach to all of Schunk’ offerings. (Web site) www.nimlok-chicago.com

Rochester Medical required a 20' x 20' exhibit for debut at the American Urological Association's trade show in Orlando, FL. The curved frame of the overhead sign and complementary use of curves in the signage above the display (rather than conventional straight lines) gives the exhibit space a distinctive appearance and is softer than typical “scientific” displays for medical device companies. An orange fabric drape behind the overhead Rochester Medical banner makes the company name stand out from a distance. Vertical banners with prominent people images serve to humanize and personalize the appearance and feel of the display. This exhibit was produced for Rochester Medical by nParallel, a Minneapolis, MN-based exhibit company. (Web site) www.nparallel.com
