VEE Corp., Minneapolis, MN, in cooperation with the Wisconsin State Cranberry Growers Association, has designed and built the 4,500 sq. ft. Wisconsin Cranberry Discovery Center. The objective is to present the story of the native cranberry and its roots from the late 1800s, as a family business that has been passed from generation to generation. VEE consulted local growers to create a compelling display, selecting artifacts, historic hand-made tools and equipment in use today. An interactive corralling game demonstrates the flooding of cranberry bogs at harvest. Audio enhances the environment with natural marsh sounds, and sand hill cranes.



Abex Display Systems has launched a modular trade show system called Fusion featuring four targeted configurations. The four series-KORE, GRAFIK, TEK and PRODUKT-allow exhibitors to custom tailor displays. Michael Bandy has announced his decision to step down as President and leave the Trade Show Exhibitors Association (TSEA) effective March 31, 2005, according to Sal Cavallaro, CME, Chairman of the TSEA Board of Directors. Bandy plans to form an association management and consulting company with his wife Dee Dee, who has been with TSEA since 1984. Cavallaro said the TSEA board is now conducting an executive search to replace Bandy. Bandy joined TSEA in 1987 as Director of Communications. He has served as President since August 1998.



The Heaven Hill Distilleries Bourbon Heritage Center has opened as the newest stop on the Kentucky Bourbon Trail. The center hosts a series of interactive and educational exhibits, including information on Kentucky’s early Bourbon pioneers. A barrel-shaped tasting room provides visitors samplings of the Company’s renowned whiskeys. Memorabilia on display provides background about the company. One wall of the building recreates a rickhouse, complete with Heaven Hill Bourbon barrels stacked to the ceiling.

Teknion Corp. required a sophisticated exhibit booth at the International Interior Design Exhibition in Toronto, Canada. burdifilek’s design incorporated a sense of high fashion into the typical ‘office lifestyle’ while highlighting the Company’s new European themed office line. The booth structure was designed as a private showroom on the exhibit floor to promote the product line's flexibility within the office environment. The burdifilek team designed modular components with intentional seams to disguise joints allowing for off site manufacturing and finishing, and on site installation. The ceiling system and lighting are a single free-floating component independent of walls to minimize the installation period.
