Debuting at the recent Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association trade show, Hotel Derek’s Traveling Hotel Room Display gives guests a “feel” for what it’s like to visit the Houston, TX hotel. The 10' x 20' display highlights the unique features of the hotel’s guestrooms, including Hotel Derek’s famous Mohair banquette sofa and a sleek bathroom. The display also features laminate-covered wood, Hotel Derek’s own wallpapers and a plasma screen TV with DVD player showing images of the hotel’s other assets. The display will be shipped to nine exhibitions in 2004. The exhibit was created by Exhibitgroup/Giltspur, Dallas, TX.



This 20' x 20' exhibit with polished chrome logo and powder coated orange crows, was produced for Modern Amusement Co. The orange box with the spinning door entrance, invites customers to come inside. This exhibit showcases apparel in custom filing cabinets. The tables are custom made in wood laminate to tie into the walls of the exhibit. A custom chandelier and recessed light fixtures highlight main areas of the exhibit and capture attention. The exhibit was created by the display boys, an Irvine, CA-based display and exhibit firm.



Sarnoff Corp. has unveiled FabriLED, a programmable sign that integrates superbright LEDs with woven fabric to create a low cost, eye catching messaging medium for displays and exhibits. FabriLED signs are available in standard dimensions of one, two, or three feet high by up to 20 feet long. The woven material is flexible in all dimensions, allowing the signs to conform to any shape. The lightweight signs roll up into a shipping tube for transportation. MICE North America has announced the creation of MICE iCom, an experiential marketing firm. Bill Callejas has been appointed President/Executive Creative Director of MICE iCom, which is headquartered in New York with offices in Dallas, Princeton, Los Angeles and Irvine, CA. Nancy Norris has been named V.P./Integrated Communications; Bill Argust is V.P./Business Development and Richard Muir is V.P. Client Services.



In Carhartt’s efforts to reinforce its denim jeans brand, an expanded fleet of four exhibits will travel to venues, which are typically attended by people wearing Carhartt clothing, like NASCAR, PBR events, and construction sites. The Carhartt SWAT (Strategic Workwear Action Team) Mobile Marketing tour is successful in reaching its target demographic audiences, bolsters the brand and creates a marketing goodwill bond with its grassroots customers. Rollerboard is an all-purpose, flexible construction medium, specially produced for the display and exhibit industries. H.B. Stubbs Company, a Warren, MI-based exhibit and event marketing firm, has appointed Scott Stubbs as President and CEO. Stubbs is the third generation family member to lead the company, founded by his grandfather 60 years ago. His most recent position was Chief Operating Officer where he generated considerable company growth. Don Yee will succeed him in the position of COO. Prior to joining the Company three years ago, Yee was Director of Process Improvement for Exhibit Enterprises.



Outwater Plastics stocks Mini Klem and Super Klem universal connectors that enable 1/8" to ¾" thick panels to be connected at any angle between 90 degrees and 270 degrees. Mini Klem will connect panels from 1/8" to 5/16" or ¾" round tubing without inserts while Super Klem will adjoin panels from 3/8" to ¾" or 1 1/8" round tubing without inserts.
