This immersive, 44,000-sq.ft. exhibit environment was laid out as a metaphorical arena with an ascending series of platforms, facilitating smooth traffic flow and hands-on interaction for over 100,000 visitors to the Sony PlayStation exhibit at E3, the Electronic Entertainment Expo. The glowing pillars, which marked the exhibit's entrance, were visible from hundreds of feet away, ensuring “must see” status among the video game developers, press and retailers attending the show. MICE DisplayWorks has named David Hardbarger General Manager of the Silicon Valley business operation, one of three MICE DisplayWorks’ facilities and a division of MICE North America. In a related move, Paul Murphy, who also played a key role in forming the Silicon Valley office and served as its General Manager, has been named Chief Information Officer for MICE North America. MICE has also expanded its Toronto-based operations with the addition of Brian Belanger as Vice President of Sales and Fraser Elliott, as Director of Commercial and Retail Sales. Belanger will lead a growing Toronto sales team in new business development.

Organic Valley is using this custom 10 x 10 canopy at indoor and outdoor promotional events. The canopy features full coverage digital printing including a matching side panel, rail curtains and a 6' table cover. The canopy was required to look like a milk carton and this was achieved with the use of a frame addition. This exhibit helped position Kodak Dental Systems as a leader in dental imaging technologies. The lighter appearance of the new booth was a marked departure from its red and yellow theme of previous times. Stretched fabric with printed images of dental professionals created a new look for the exhibit. Cabinets feature lighting behind perf metal side panels. This exhibit was designed and produced for Cadence for the Design Automation Conference. The exhibit included a “living room” environment to encourage in-depth dialogue with qualified attendees. The choice of contemporary design and furnishings reflects the company’s state-of-the-art technology. Cadence achieved “standing room only” attendance at its educations sessions. The exhibit was created for Cadence by MC2, a Chestnut Ridge, NY-headquartered exhibit firm.

Live event marketing experiences are more effective ways to influence coveted consumer demographics versus TV and Internet advertising, according to a survey released by Jack Morton Worldwide, New York City. The study found that marketing events resonate strongly across demographic categories with especially high influence among women, young people and Hispanics. More than two-thirds of all consumers say that participating in a live event marketing experience would increase their purchase consideration. Nearly 80% of teens say experiential marketing would increase purchase consideration, 60% of women say experiential marketing would be more likely to lead to purchase of a particular brand. 74% of Hispanic women and 66% of Hispanic men would be more likely to consider purchasing a product after participating in an experiential marketing event.
Liberty Mutual has introduced “Where’s The Fire?,” a fire safety and education exhibit at Innoventions in Walt Disney World's Epcot Center. The exhibit includes: Where's The Fire? Game House; Play It Safe House for younger children; Burning Questions fire safety kiosks, three touch screen kiosks present a timed safety quiz; and a 30-foot fire truck. One side of the truck has a “Badges of Honor” display, Liberty Mutual’s tribute to the role played by volunteer fire fighters in this country.

TOPPAN Printing Co. recently exhibited a large-scale wall-sized newspaper utilizing E Ink Electronic Paper at The 2005 World EXPO in Aichi, Japan. This large wall-size newspaper was built from 272 individual electronic paper “tiles,” which is a combination of an E Ink Imaging Film laminated onto a printed circuit board with pixel electrodes. The wall-size newspaper application of Electronic Paper was exhibited at the Yomiuri Newspaper booth. The latest news was displayed twice daily.
VirTra Systems Inc., Dallas, has launched a mobile tour introducing its new Immersa-Dome virtual reality system. VirTra Systems’ Immersa-Dome is the world’s first individual, multi-sensory, projection-based virtual reality system, utilizing a dome-shaped screen, which comfortably surrounds the viewer and delivers a high resolution virtual reality experience without a headset. “Due to overwhelming response from promotional agencies desiring an Immersa-Dome demonstration, we believe mobile tours allow us to see the most agencies in the shortest time,” said Tom Milks, VirTra Systems’ V.P. of Advertising and Promotion.
The Herbalife 25th Anniversary Extravaganza, recently held in the Atlanta World Congress Center and Georgia Dome, celebrated Herbalife's landmark anniversary. The event was attended by over 35,000 dignitaries and distributors from 59 countries and constitutes the largest gathering in the history of the company.
