Pepsi-iPod Drink, Win, Play Promotion Launched

The Pepsi-iPod Drink, Win, Play promotion offered consumers the chance to look under the cap of specially-marked Pepsi products for the chance to win 1 of 10,000 iPod minis or Pepsi product.

Promotional materials included a counter display, cooler topper, cooler decals, a wobbler/dangler, entry pads and stickers. The promotional elements were printed on many different substrates, kitted, packed and distributed across the country by Proprint Services, Inc., Toronto, Ontario, Canada.


Crest Pro-Health Rinse Introduced

New Crest Pro-Health Rinse, the first Crest mouthwash, "knocks out" 99% of germs that can cause plaque, gingivitis and bad breath without the burn of alcohol in just 30 seconds. "After more than ten years of development, we created Crest's first mouthwash as an alternative to the intense experience of other oral rinses," said Diane Dietz, North American General Manager for Crest at Procter & Gamble. "Pro-Health Rinse's alcohol-free formula can deliver an enjoyable rinsing experience along with oral health benefits that consumers' desire." The Pro-Health launch is Crest's biggest initiative of the year and will be supported through a $100 million health-focused marketing campaign, including advertising and in-store promotions.


XMAT Introduces GamerCycle

XMAT LLC offers the GamerCycle, which lets kids play video games while getting exercise too. GamerCycle is an ergonomic recumbent exercise cycle for children and teenagers. It is hooked up with an existing video game console to the television screen. As long as the player remains pedaling, the TV picture remains on. All video games are played as usual. GamerCycle works with all video games on the market.


Cellboost Disposable Battery/Charger Introduced

Cellboost, a matchbook-sized disposable battery/charger from Compact Power Systems, instantly revives dead or almost dead cell phone batteries without requiring access to an electrical outlet or any other power source. Cellboost plugs directly into the cell phone's charging port and delivers an average of 60 minutes of talk time/60 hours of standby time to the average handset. It also charges the phone while the user talks and can simply be thrown away when it's out of juice. Cellboost retails for about $6 and is available for all popular phone brands.


Hasbro Debuts I-DOG Interactive Music Companion For Kids

Hasbro Inc. Tiger Electronics has introduced I-DOG, a new music interactive pet that will groove along to any song it hears. Easy to use, simply sit I-DOG in front of a speaker or plug it into the headphone jack of any hand-held music system. I-DOG Interactive Music Companion displays four distinct personalities that are dependent on the type of music it hears. Pocket-sized with adjustable legs, I-DOG is completely portable and is compatible with most portable music devices including Discman, iPod and Rio MP3 players. I-DOG Interactive Music Companion will be available in fall 2005 for an approximate retail price of $29.99.


United Airlines Names D. Cary Sr. V.P., Mktg.

United Airlines has named Dennis Cary Senior Vice President of Marketing. In his new role, Cary is responsible for the development of marketing strategies and implementation of programs including United's Mileage Plus program as well as product development, customer research and united.com efforts. Most recently, Cary served as United's Vice President of Revenue Management. Prior to joining United, he was President of American Airlines' AAdvantage Marketing Programs.


Kimberly-Clark Names K. Feil V.P. & Sr. Mktg. Officer

Kimberly-Clark has appointed Kim Feil as Vice President and Senior Marketing Officer. In this newly created position, Feil will be responsible for accelerating innovative marketing and brand-building practices across the Company's North Atlantic organizations. Her background includes consumer marketing at PepsiCo and Cadbury Schweppes, where she served in sales, marketing and brand management positions. Most recently, Feil served as the CEO of Mosaic InfoForce, which provides retail insights and analyses to consumer packaged goods companies.


Leap Wireless Appoints A. Moschner To Exec. V.P. & Chief Mktg. Officer

Leap Wireless International, Inc., a leading provider of innovative and value-driven wireless communications services, has appointed Albin Moschner to Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer. Moschner recently served as the interim Senior V.P. of Marketing for Leap. Before joining the company, he was President of Verizon Card Services.


Allianz Life Insurance Names B. Carr V.P. Of Multicultural Mktg.

Allianz Life Insurance Company has named Baron Carr as its new Vice President of Multicultural Marketing. Carr will develop new programs and marketing tools to help recruit a more diverse distribution network and support existing agents who serve multicultural markets. Carr comes to Allianz from JP Morgan Chase in NYC.
