Everbrite Acquires Dauman Displays

Everbrite, Inc., an international sign and display company headquartered in Greenfield, WI, has announced its acquisition of Dauman Displays, Inc., New York City.

Founded in the mid-1940's, Dauman Displays is well known for its custom displays for the cosmetics, health & beauty aids, fragrance and optical industries. Dauman Displays has won over 150 POPAI awards. In 1995, the company won 11 awards, including 3 gold awards for the Best of Category. The firm employs over 60 people and has sales, design, engineerig, model shop, manufacturing and asssembly capabilities. Dauman Displays International Ltd., was founded in 1977 in London to service international and European clients.

Chris Mortensen, Executive Vice President of Everbrite's Point-of-Purchase division has been appointed head of Dauman Displays with responsibility for the U.S. and U.K. operations. Brian williams will continue as the Managing Director of Dauman Displays International, Ltd.

The acquisition positons Everbrite to capitalize on growth opportunities in Dauman Displays' major market segements as well as introduce Everbrite products and services to current Dauman Displays clients.


Anheuser-Busch Launching Natural Ice

Anheuser-Busch is introducing Natural Ice nationwide this month. Natural Ice joines Natural Light , which was Anheuser-Busch's first reduced calorie beer when it was introduced in 1977. Today, Natural Light is the fifth leading brand of beer in foods stores across the nation.

Prevost Foushee, Senior Brand Manager for Natural Light and Natrual Ice, said, "We are eager to now have the opportunity with Natural Ice to satisfy the growing demand by beer drinkers everywhere for a quality sub-premium ice beer." Anheuser-Busch's Bud Ice and Bud Ice Light, which offer consumers premium-priced selections in the ice beer category.Consumers are showing growing interest in ice-brewed beers which now comprise 5.9% of the total beer market.

Natural Ice will be supported with an array of p.o.p. materials, including banners, cooler stickers, table tents and pole displays..


MCA/Universal Home Video To Release "BABE"

MCA/Universal Home Video is supporting the March 22, 1996 video release of "Babe" with an extensive marketing campaign and cross promotion with Tropicana. Consumers can receive a $3.50 rebate by sending a mail-in certificate located inside the "Babe" videocassette and three proofs of purchase from Tropicana Season's Best Juices.

P.O.S. materials include 12-unit counter displays, 24- and 48-unit floor merchandisers.


Chesapeake Announces Staff Changes

Cheseapeake Corp., Richmond, VA has announced management changes to sharpen the focus of the copany's graphic packaging and point-of-sale display businesses, which the firm has committed to triple in size by the year 2000. Chesapeake has split its former packaging business into two market focused businesses: Graphic Packaging & Displays and Corrugated Containers.

Andrew J. Kohut has been named Group V.P. for Graphic Packaging and Displays.
