Carillon Introducing Stolichnaya Gold Ultra-Premium Vodka

Carillon Importers Ltd. is introducing Stolichnaya Gold, an ultra-premium vodka hand-crafted and bottled in St. Petersburg, Russia by the Liviz Distillery in honor of the distillery's 100th anniversay this year.

Michel Roux, President and CEO of Carillon Importers said: "Stoli Gold is the new jewel in the Stolichnaya crown. It has a smooth, rich quality unlike any other vodka we have ever experienced."

80-Proof Stolichnaya Gold will be available in limited quantities in 750 ml and 1 liter sizes. It joins the Carillon Importers portfolio of distinguished spirits brands form around the world.


Bain De Soleil Introduces New Sun Care Collections

Bain De Soleil has introduced three collections for specialized sun care needs: Mademoiselle, Le Sport and Apres Soleil.

Bain De Soleil’s new Mademoiselle Collection is ideal for teenagers and young adults who have sensitive skin and want sun protection that will not irritate skin or cause blemishes. It comes in a range of SPF’s, from 4 to 15, to meet individual tanning needs.

Le Sport is a new sunscreen collection for sports enthusiasts and active people who spend long hours in the sun and want sunburn protection. Available in SPF 15 and 30, Le Sport offers a high performance formulation that is non-greasy and quick absorbing with one application lasting six to eight hours.

Bain de Soleil has also launched the Apres Soleil collection designed to soothe and nourish the skin after sun exposure.


Sara Lee Introduces 'Today's Selection' Fresh Prepared Foods

Sara Lee is introducing a line of fresh entrees, side dishes and sandwiches called Today’s Selection. The company is vying for a share of the home meal replacement category by offering supermarket meal options under its brand name.

Among Today’s Selection offerings are Lemon Chicken Breast, Pasta Primavera, Seasoned Red Potatoes and Honey Ham and Natural Swiss Cheese on a Rye Kaiser Roll.


David Schultz Names New Chairman of POAI

David Schultz was named Chairman of the Board of the Point-of-purchase Advertising Institute (POPAI), for a one year term. Mr. Schultz is Vice President of Marketing and Sales at MCA, Massillon, OH. He succeeds outgoing Chairman Larry Haugen, Vice President/ Creative Director at Great Northern Display Co., Racine, WI.

Richard R. Winter, General Manager of Thorco Industries, Inc., Lamar, Missouri was named POPAI Vice Chairman. New members of the Board of Directors include: Julia Ruszel Allenby, Ruszel Woodworks, Inc.; Cliff Campeau, Venture Stores, Inc.; Rick Fiebiger, Best Buy Co’ James George, Hershey Chocolate, USA; William Kolb, Universal Electric Sign Co., Inc; Kay Roseland, Honeywell, Inc.; Scott Smith, Rawlings Sporting Goods; Chris Sitkiewicz, Mid-West Wire Specialties Co.


Great Northern Names J. Davis As Executive Vice President

John R. Davis has been appointed Executive Vice President for Great Northern Corporation. He had previously been Vice President/General Manager for Great Northern’s Container Group, Appleton, WI.

His new responsibilities include overseeing sales, design and production functions at Great Northern Container Group facilities in both Appleton and Racine, WI as well as at the company’s Racine-based Display Group.

Mr. Davis joined Great Northern’s Container Group—Appleton in 1986 as an Administrative Sales Manager and then served as Sales Manager until 1994, when he was named Vice President/General Manager for the Container Group—Appleton. He has been instrumental in the development and implementation of Great Northern’s aggressive long-term growth plan.
