Shell & MasterCard Conduct Sweepstakes Offering Chrysler Crossfires
Shell Oil Products recently conducted a promotion and marketing campaign with MasterCard International and Citibank. The promotion was designed to drive incremental traffic to Shell-branded gasoline stations and drive usage of MasterCard cards in addition to generating new applications for the Shell MasterCard.
More than 30 million people qualified for the sweepstakes and were entered for the chance to win one of 35 Chrysler Crossfires and $1,000 worth of Shell V-Power premium-grade gasoline each time they used their MasterCards at Shell.
Promotional materials were designed to highlight the benefits of the Shell MasterCard and encourage consumer applications.
PlayStation 2 LockerRoom Challenge Tour Hits The Road
Sony Computer Entertainment recently launched the PlayStation 2 LockerRoom Challenge Tour, where ardent PlayStation fans and casual gamers alike had the opportunity to sample the latest sports and entertainment games in an unparalleled locker room themed environment.
The Challenge allowed kids to compete with their friends to win cool PlayStation prizes. A 30-foot state-of-the-art mobile truck featuring 11 PlayStation 2 and PS one gaming systems, a big screen TV and a thunderous sound system, visited retailers and various events across the country.
WWE Conducts 'Road To WrestleMania 21 Tour'
World Wrestling Entertainment recently conducted "The Road To WrestleMania 21 Tour," an 11-week national tour that stopped at major malls throughout the U.S. with the culmination being Los Angeles, CA, the site of WrestleMania 21.
The mobile marketing effort, hosted by WWE Legend Hillbilly Jim, featured many activities for fans to interact with WWE, including call-a-match, memorabilia displays, a video game kiosk, and a main stage that hosted autograph signings and trivia contests.

Jones Frozen Soda Pops Debuts At Kroger
Jones Soda Co. has entered into a licensing agreement with The Kroger Co. to manufacture and sell a newly created item, Jones Frozen Soda Pops, frozen novelties based on popular Jones Soda flavors. The product line will initially consist of three Jones Soda flavors including Green Apple, Berry Lemonade and Cherry. "This partnership with the second largest grocery retailer in the U.S. validates Jones Soda as a national brand and creates the great platform to broaden the distribution of other of Jones Soda Co.'s products," said Paul Weinstein, V.P. Sales, West for Jones Soda.
Firefly Mobile Phone Targets Parents & Tweens
Firefly Mobile has launched the Firefly phone, the first and only mobile phone designed for tweens aged eight to 12-years-old, that satisfies parents' concerns about unrestricted mobile phone use and monthly costs. With just five keys instead of a regular dial pad, parents use a PIN to program up to 22 outgoing numbers into the phone, including speed-dial keys for mom and dad. The patented phone lights up like a firefly when in use and intermittently when in standby mode. The size of a small pocket calculator, the Firefly Phone is available nationwide in May.
Mountain Spring Waters To Distribute Trump Ice Spring Water
Mountain Spring Waters of America and The Trump Organization have agreed to terms that will make Mountain Spring Waters the primary distributor in the New York and New Jersey area for the entire Trump Ice spring water product line through 2006. "Our ability to use the Trump Ice brand aligned with various sports figures opens up a whole new product in the bottled water category," said John Perrone, Corporate Communications Director of Mountain Spring Waters. "You will see Trump Ice served at several baseball stadiums this summer as we kick off the product line."
