Kodak & NASCAR Launch Cross Promotion

Kodak and NASCAR have launched a cross promotion in stores nationwide whereby NASCAR fans and Kodak customers making photo prints at any one of the 15,000 KODAK Picture Maker kiosks can collect one of 11 souvenir NASCAR photos. In addition, the kiosks and collectible prints will direct consumers to participate in an online sweepstakes, which offers prizes ranging from NASCAR jackets and helmets to a grand prize behind-the-scenes experience at an upcoming race.

The promotion was developed by marketing communications agency Eric Mower and Associates to generate brand awareness for the KODAK Picture Maker. "This campaign marks the first time that KODAK is offering 'print on demand' souvenir images at the retail kiosks," said Tom Armentrout, Sr. Partner EMA. "It's our goal to not only create excitement for the racing season and boost KODAK sales, but also to support KODAK's long-standing association with NASCAR."

When the KODAK Picture Maker is idle in stores, a looping video will encourage consumers to print out collectible photos and enter the online sweepstakes. In-store advertising, posters and tear-cards will also help stores promote the campaign.

Disney Store Outlets will offer a variety of high quality merchandise with no irregulars or seconds. "Our outlet stores will offer a magical, Disney-themed retail environment complementary to our mall-based Disney Stores," said Mario Ciampi, President of Disney Store. "Given the power of the Disney brand and The Children's Place experience in this channel, we believe the outlet venue will be an effective way to grow the business."
