Hanes Introduces Michael Jordan Collection

Hanes has introduced the Michael Jordan Collection, a line of premium, stylish men’s underwear inspired and designed by Michael Jordan.

"The combination of two names synonymous with quality, such as Michael Jordan and Hanes, creates an opportunity for us to establish a strong brand presence in some new retail venues,"said Lisa C. Rhoades, Marketing Director for Hanes. "This line represents the start of what we hope will be lasting relationships with these retailers and the customers who shop their stores."

The Michael Jordan Collection by Hanes is a line of fashionable men’s underwear styles, athletic designs and boxers. To keep the line fresh, Hanes plans to update the boxer designs three to four times a year.

Identity for the brand is achieved through a variety of visual elements. Most distinctive is the logo that decorates the waistband of all briefs, boxer briefs and boxers in the Collection. Repeated around the band is the name JORDAN, featuring a stylish silhouette of Jordan in place of the letter 'A.' Dramatic packaging also is designed to create impact and brand identity. Each style is packaged in striking red, black and white boxes featuring a color photo of Jordan, his signature and the letters MJ prominently positioned to identify the brand. Knit boxers are displayed on hangers with anchor tags featuring brand identification and information about Jordan and the collection.


Aramis' Lab Series For Men Launches Stop Shine Oil Control Formula

After shaving, the most common concern men have about their skin is the shiny, 'greasy' look which often accompanies oily skin, according to the experts at Lab Series For Men by Aramis, who have developed a product that provides both immediate visible reduction in shine as well as long-term oil-control benefits.

Stop Shine Oil Control Formula works to prevent the production and the spread of oil in two ways: it works immediately to prevent the build-up and 'pooling' of oil on the skin’s surface; it is also effective long-term, working to 're-program' skin to produce less oil from the inside out. Hi-C Candies And Fruit Snacks Introduced

Hi-C candies and fruit snacks have been introduced by Brach & Brock Confections, Inc., through a licensing agreement with The Minute Maid Company, maker of Hi-C fruit drinks.

"It’s now time to extend that Hi-C magic in the marketplace by complementing our popular fruit drinks with products in other kid-dominated categories," said Dave Throckmorton, Hi-C Vice President for The Minute Minute Company. The entire Hi-C candy line contains no cholesterol or fat while providing the same 100% daily requirement of vitamin C that Hi-C fruit drinks have in each serving, plus real fruit juice. According to George Mullinix, Vice President of Marketing for Brach & Brock, "Consumers are buying more fruit-based candies and fruit snacks than ever before because these snacks are considered healthier than others."

The new Hi-C fruit candies are available in a variety of package forms featuring the same colorful and action-packed Hi-C comic strip designs on an electric yellow background. Along with the same look and feel of Hi-C Fruit drinks are the same Hi-C flavors carried over to the new candy products, such as Boppin’ Berry, Fruit Punch, Cherry, Jammin’ Apple, Grape and Orange.

The Hi-C candy introduction has strong marketing support including national broadcast and print advertising national product sampling and a major back-to-school promotion in August. Retail point-of-sale displays include singles shippers and displayable cases.
