Jim Beam Introduces First Micro-Bourbon

Jim Beam Brands Co., Deerfield, IL, has introduced Jacob’s Well, the world’s first Micro-Bourbon.

Alan Cohen, Vice President, Brand Management, commented, "Jacob’s Well is the most unique entry into the super-premium whiskey category. With the popularity of micro-beers, consumers will instantly recognize the quality statement that ‘Micro-Bourbon’ makes: limited quantities, extra aging, premium taste and superior quality. Fruitopia Launching "Fruitful Rewards" Promotion

Coca-Cola USA has launched a consumer promotion called "Fruitful Rewards" in conjuncton with the new repositioning of the Fruitopia line.

The promotion features Fruitopia bottles with special silver caps that can be redeemed for discounts at participating tie-in partner outlets such as Blockbuster Music, TGI Friday’s, AMC Movie Theaters and Baskin Robbins.

The rewards include 20% off any one music item purchase at Blockbuster Music, a free participating appetizer with entree purchase at TGI Friday’s and a free small popcorn with ticket purchase at AMC Movie Theaters.


Actmedia Introduces Rebate Machine

Actmedia, Inc., Norwalk, CT, has introduced the Rebate Machine, the first on-shelf turnkey electronic rebate program. The machine, an electronic dispenser of rebate offers, is placed directly in front of promoted products, eliminating the need to search for rebate boards.

The rebate machine is now available in 1,832 Kmart stores and all 91 Super Kmart Centers. It will be launched in Venture stores starting May 20.


Freeman Cosmetic Corp. Appoints B. Taylor, VP Mkt.

Freeman Cosmetic Corp., Beverly Hills, CA, has appointed Budd Taylor as Vice President, of Marketing.

Mr. Taylor had worked for Estee Lauder for 21 years. He relocated to the west coast two-and-half years ago where he began his own marketing consulting firm.


CBS Fox Names M. Musicus To Marketing Director

CBS Fox has named Marc Musicus to Marketing Director of its Sports and Fitness products, according to an announcement by Peter French, Vice President, Sports and Fitness Marketing.

He will be responsible for marketing activities for the NHL video line, all fitness series, and other licensed sports properties.

Prior to joining CBS/Fox, he was Manager of Marketing and Creative Affairs at Time Warner, Inc.


Outwater Plastics Launches Website

Outwater Plastics, a Wood-Ridge, NJ-based supplier of a wide range of products for the display and fixturing industries has established a new website.
