Hewlett -Packard & Disney Interactive Join To Launch New Home Printer
The new HP Deskjet 682C home printer from Hewlett Packard incorporates software developed by Disney Interactive exclusively for HP that enables users to produce more than 200 images of familiar Disney characters. The packaging and display materials for the new printer prominently feature Disney characters.
"Our approach with the package and in-store displays was to give as much visibility as possible for the HP and Disney graphics, because they are both such widely recognizable names," said Ed Shimmon, President of the Beeline Group, the Fremont, CA-based in-store marketing services company which created the packaging and display materals for the new printer.
Special displays for the printer include a 38-by-15 inch high pallet stack header and an end-cap display that serves as a one-stop shopping center with an HP Pavilion personal computer, printer cables, ink cartridges, HP premium paper and printer boxes. Custom displays were also created specifically for different retail environments.
