Campbell's Soup Launches Ready To Serve Classic Soups

Campbell Soup Company has announced its most comprehensive new product and packaging initiative in its history. Campbell's Ready to Serve Classics represents a breakthrough in convenience for favorites like Chicken Noodle and Tomato. Easy-open packaging featuring pop-top lids, is the first ever in the branded soup category in the U.S. and will cover 70 Campbell varieties, including soups in the company's "Ready To Serve Classics," "Chunky" and "Select" lines. In addition to new ready to serve soups and easy-open packaging, Campbell also announced several new products including Cambell's Red & White cooking soups, Campbell's Chunky soups and Campbell's Select soups in two new chicken varieties. All of the new varieties will be available in stores beginning in late summer, with consumer marketing support beginning in the fall.

New Nike Techlab Division Debuts Portable Sport Audio (MP3) Player

Nike, Inc. has created a new high-tech sports gear division called nike[techlab, which pushes the limits of sports technology to offer cutting-edge tools for the sports and fitness consumer. "Essentially, Nike has stuck a wire in sports," said Clare Hamill, Vice President of Nike Equipment. "Keeping the athlete in mind, [techlab will pioneer products that fuse sports and technology for the benefit of today's digital athlete." The first of five new products from nike[techlab is the Personal Sport Audio (PSA) Play 120, which arrives in retail outlets this July. A collaboration with S3's industry-leading Diamond Multimedia division, makers of Rio Audio, nike[techlab's sleek PSA[Play 120 combines the best of digital audio technology with extended memory features. The PSA[Play will be followed by four other new products scheduled to arrive in retail stores this holiday season.

Braun Syncro Shaving System Launched

Braun has launched the Braun Syncro System, the world's first self-cleaning shaver. Consisting of two innovative components, an electric shaver with a unique four-way moving head and a self-cleaner, the Braun Syncro System provides consumers with Braun's closest, most comfortable and convenient shave ever. The self-cleaner automatically cleans, conditions and charges the shaver with a push of a button. Braun will support the introduction with a national marketing campaign that includes $15 million in broadcast and print advertising, direct mail, a web site and point-of-purchase materials.

Minute Maid Premium Lemonade Iced Tea Introduced

The Minute Maid Company has combined the refreshing tastes of lemonade and iced tea into one classic drink, Minute Maid Premium Lemonade Iced Tea. Made with 50% lemonade and 50% pure tea, Minute Maid Premium Lemonade Ice Tea creates one refreshing new taste. Minute Maid Premium Lemonade Iced Tea is now available in chilled 64-ounce cartons and 12-ounce frozen cans.

MoJocoffee Introduces Coffee Roasting Technology

MoJocoffee Company has introduced a new product featuring a technology that allows consumers to roast coffee at home in the microwave. The revolutionary coffee technology utilizes microwave susceptor technology and lets consumers roast green beans to slow-roasted perfection in their microwave ovens in a specially designed pre-filled roasting pouch. 3dfx Appoints S. Lapinski Sr. VP of Worldwide Mktg.

3dfx Interactive Inc. has named Stephen A. Lapinski as Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing. Lapinski brings over 25 years of high-technology marketing experience to further enhance the senior executive management staff. He will be responsible for all marketing aspects including brand, product, channel, corporate and international marketing. Most recently, he was Senior Product Marketing Director in AMD's computational products division.

Kendall-Jackson Wine Estates Names J. Grant Chief Mktg. Officer

Kendall-Jacksn Wine Estates Ltd. has named John A. Grant its Executive Vice President, Marketing. In this position, Grant will coordinate U.S. marketing efforts for estate wineries in California, South America and Italy. For most of the past decade, Grant was a key executive for Australia's Southcorp Wines and Appliance divisions.

Intel Appoints P. Pollace Director Of Worldwide Mktg.

Intel Corporation has promoted Pamela L. Pollace as Director of Worldwide Marketing Operations. In her new role, Pollace is responsible for all marketing operations worldwide, including advertising, corporate marketing communications, press relations, the Intel Inside program, Internet marketing and channel marketing programs.

Champagne Mumm And Perrier-Jouet Name P. Roederer VP Mktg. & Dev. For New U.S. Subsidiary

Champagne G.H. Mumm and Perrier-Jouet have named Philippe Roederer as Vice President of Marketing and Development in the U.S. and Canada. Roederer will be responsible for the creation of the new brand management office headquartered in New York, and will manage all sales, marketing and public relations activities of Champagne Mumm and Perrier-Jouet in North America. Roederer was most recently Eastern Sales Director with Clicquot, Inc.

Helen Of Troy Names M. Wovna Sr. VP Of Sales & Mktg.

Helen of Troy Limited, a designer, developer and worldwide marketer of brand name personal care products, has appointed Michael Wovna as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the Company's brush, comb and accessory division. Wovna has an extensive background in sales and marketing both with Wilhold Hair Accessories and Goody Products, Inc. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Sales for PlusMark, a division of American Greetings Corporation.

Nissan Revamps U.S. Marketing Operation

Nissan North America has appointed Jack Collins to head up a new marketing and product planning unit for the Nissan and Infiniti divisions. Collins most recently was Director of Product Strategy at Nissan North America.

Display Technologies Appoints J. Badami VP, Director, Custom Display Div.

Display Technologies has appointed John Badami Vice President and Director of the Custom Display Division. With more than 17 years of experience in the point-of-purchase industry, Badami served five years as Vice President Technical Sales for Consumer Promotions International/Chesapeake Display and as Manager of Promotional Puchasing for Lancome Cosmetics.
