adidas Uses Beckham Display To Create Unique Shopping Experience
To promote the launch of the new David Beckham Predator Pulse collection, adidas has partnered with Angel.com, a leading provider of web-based advanced telephony solutions, to create a unique shopping experience for the soccer fan.
Displays were set up in approximately 100 Sports Authority and 50 Dick's Sporting Goods stores nationwide where the Beckham collection is being sold. Each store account has a custom toll-free number, advertised on the display, that consumers can call to hear from Beckham himself about the features of his new collection. Beckham also informs the caller that his new range of Predator footwear and apparel is the ultimate combination of performance technology and style, allowing him to perform his best in every match.
This promotion takes point of purchase to the next level, allowing adidas customers to hear what a superstar athlete thinks of a new product line. At the same time, it provides valuable information regarding customer interest in the Predator collection, by tracking the number of people who call the toll free numbers from the stores.
The Body Shop Unveils New Store Design & Identity
The Body Shop, a British-born brand famous for its pioneering use of natural ingredients in high quality cosmetics and toiletries, has unveiled a new stylish store design and brand identity. The fresh and striking store layout will make The Body Shop customer experience both inspiring and engaging.
Following the success of eight new concept trial stores in seven countries, including San Francisco and New York, The Body Shop new look will be rolled out to 250 stores throughout the world this year including 65 in the U.S. and Canada.
The stores feel lighter and more modern with displays that are simple and clear, bright and open. By giving each product range its own clear, well-lit space with testers and detailed advice panels, customers now have clearer signage to guide them through the store. The new stores use signature The Body Shop notes of green and white and materials that reflect the environmental concerns the company is known for, from hemp fabric to non-toxic paint.
To support the new stores the new brand identity is also being implemented across all product packaging and promotional materials.
The new branding builds upon the world-renowned logo, giving it a more contemporary feel with the recognizable 'pod' symbol incorporated into the brand name and a darker shade of green added to the color palette. Andy King, Global Marketing Director of The Body Shop said, "We have designed this store with the customer foremost in our minds. We'd love our customers to feel as if they discover something new every time they walk into the store. This great new design and strong new identity reflect The Body Shop in the 21st Century, building upon the heritage and knowledge of company whilst remaining true to all the ethical values of the brand."
Giant Banners Promote Atomic X At Sporting Events
Atomic X Hydration Beverages, located in Laguna Hills, CA, displayed spectacular grand-format vinyl banners at the NFL Pro Bowl to promote its non-carbonated energy drink.
Colorful wide-format banners were also used to attract customer attention at participating 7-11’s, ARCOs, Mobils, Chevrons, 76s and other independent convenience stores.
The Atomic X energy drink banners were produced by IPG Imaging Professionals, located in Lake Forest, CA.
Qwest Opens Solution Center Living Rooms
Qwest Communications is expanding its retail presence in the Phoenix area beyond its traditional kiosks, with the opening of two new Qwest Solution Center Living Rooms, offering the services available at Qwest Solutions Centers plus additional amenities in the comfort of a living room environment.
Qwest Living Rooms center around comfortable seating areas where plasma screen TVs display a full complement of Qwest Choice TV channels. Each location is equipped with wireless Internet access and customers can get expert advice on purchasing wireless, high-speed Internet service, home-phone packages, long-distance service and DirecTV.
Xbox 360 Console Is Announced
Microsoft has unveiled the Xbox 360, a next -generation game and entertainment system with a wireless controller.
Every Xbox 360 game is designed for high-definition, wide-screen televisions. Connect Xbox 360 to a broadband connection and get instant access to Xbox Live Silver, available for no monthly service charge with an Xbox 360 system.
Players can connect with friends anywhere through Xbox Live voice chat; send and receive text and voice messages; and download demos and trailers.
Island Breeze By Bacardi Lite Spirit Launched
Bacardi U.S.A. has launched Island Breeze, the first lite spirit, with half the calories of traditional spirits and half the calories of wine. Island Breeze satisfies consumers’ desire to enjoy delicious cocktails and still watch their calories. Kodak EasyShare V-Series Digital Cameras Debut
Kodak EasyShare V-series digital cameras were introduced featuring video capabilities. For the first time, videos can be easily turned into still pictures for printing and sharing. Videos can be watched on the cameras’ LCD screens.

This exhibit was designed and produced for Cadence for the Design Automation Conference. The exhibit included a "living room" environment to encourage in depth dialogue with qualified attendees. The choice of contemporary design and furnishings reflects the company's state-of-the-art technology and leadership. Through a comprehensive color-coded pre- and at-show integrated marketing approach supporting audience-centric in-exhibit promotions, Cadence achieved "standing room only" attendance at the peer-to-peer educations sessions it presented in its exhibit. The exhibit was designed and created for Cadence by MC2, a leading experiential communications agency with offices in nine cities.
SUBWAY Restaurants Taps AMP For Teen Promotions
In an effort to expand its brand, SUBWAY restaurants, has hired Alloy Marketing and Promotions to execute a promotional campaign targeting teens. "Noting the rising, influential purchasing power of Teens in the U.S., we understand how an increase in Teen-traffic could positively benefit our brand," said Chris Carroll, Sr. V.P. of Marketing for SUBWAY. "We evaluated several promotion agencies and chose AMP not only because they have a proven expertise in marketing to Teens, but they can communicate to them in an authentic voice that really resonates."
