John Hallberg, Senior Vice President of World-Wide Marketing, said, "This is the latest of several steps taken over the past few months to make Britannica’s encyclopedia products more available and attractive to consumers. Britannica recently lowered the price of its CD-ROM product and its 32-volume printed encyclopedia is now sold in bookstores.
To help support these initiatives, the company is launching a national advertising campaign to increase awareness of Britannica’s product benefits.
Under the new agreement, Avery Dennison and American Greetings will co-brand several double-sided coated card products for ink jet printers that are customized for CreataCard software and all other publishing software programs.
Avery Dennison has also signed an agreement with Micrografx, a global leader in graphics software, to distribute worldwide an OEM version of American Greetings CreataCard Special Edition software that enables users to design and personalize their own greeting cards and invitations. This software will be included inside a variety pack of Avery-brand ink jet cards.

Chesley Beaver was promoted to Senior Marketing Communications Manager, International. Gerogette Smith was promoted to Associate Creative Project Manager. Debra Reed has been named to the position of Marketing Coordinator.
Reporting to Candela will be two Corporate Off-Premise Account Managers, Mike Mouvet and Keith Whitlock. Both have a long history of success in chain accounts. An integral part of this department is in analytical data, which will be headed by Karyn Erickson (presently Senior Market Research Analyst at Southfield headquarters) and another analyst yet to be named.
Becky Fayer, presently Brand Manager, Tuaca/Opal Nera/Salvador’s, has taken on additional brand responsibility for the Midori/Suntory portfolio. Janine Paley, Assistant Brand Manager, will now also have brand responsibility for Salvador’s and Chantelle and will continue to assist with the Hiram Walker Liqueurs portfolio, according to an announcement made by Michael Seguin, Brand Director, Spirits.

AdWall’s digital poster network is a wide area network linked to 42-inch flat-panel screens that display still-image advertising in retail environments. Digital technology’s flexibility and the power of central network control can target advertisements to specific locations or alter them at any time.
AdWall anticipates launching the digital poster network nationally within the next six months.
