Tupperware And Target Announce Strategic Alliance
Tupperware Corporation and Target stores have announced a partnership to sell Tupperware products in SuperTarget stores. A special selection of approximately 50 Tupperware products will be available this fall at Tupperware product areas within all 62 SuperTarget stores nationwide.
"Three years ago Tupperware promised to re-invent direct selling and the in-home party through its Integrated Direct Access strategy," said Rick Goings, Chairman and CEO of Tupperware Corporation. Build-A-Bear Workshop To Open In Downtown Disney District In Anaheim, CA
Build-A-Bear Workshop, Where Best Friends Are Made, is opening a flagship store this November in the Downtown Disney District at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, CA.
Build-A-Bear Workshop is based on the premise that nearly everyone, regardless of age, has a special fondness for stuffed animals. At Build-A-Bear Workshop, visitors, or Guest Bear Builders, create their own stuffed animals as they "choose, stuff, stitch, fluff, name and dress" their way through a series of bear-making decisions. A variety of inventive bear merchandise is also available to suit all "bear occasions."
Build-A-Bear Workshop's innovative store concept takes children's entertainment retailing to a new level, combining the process of making your own bear with the atmosphere and fun of shopping the way it used to be. Forrest Gump And Russell Stover Join 'Together Again' For DVD Release
Russell Stover Candies and Paramount Home Entertainment have partnered for the release of Forrest Gump on DVD. The collector's edition DVD will include a Forrest Gump coupon for $1.00 off the Russell Stover one and a half-pound 'The Gift Box' featured in the movie.
"We are very excited to be associated with Forrest Gump," said John O'Hara, V.P. of Marketing for Russell Stover Candies. "When you think of Forrest Gump you think of boxed chocolates…and that's great for our industry. The release of Forrest Gump on DVD will give the category another huge boost and we are proud to be together again."
The release will be supported by a multi-million dollar advertising campaign from Paramount Home Entertainment and Russell Stover Candies as well as by in-store shelf-talkers on more than 35,000 Russell Stover fixtures. The Forrest Gump-Russell Stover coupon will be in-packed into 1.3 million Forrest Gump Collectors Edition DVDs and promoted on-pack with a printed sticker. To promote the sale of the DVD, coupons will be found in specially marked boxes of 'The Gift Box.'
Jaguar's X-Type Sponsors Janet Jackson Tour
Jaguar North America is sponsoring Janet Jackson's "All For Your World Tour 2001, which will highlight the new Jaguar X-Type.
