Tickets.com Deploys Automated Kiosks For Major League Baseball Teams

Tickets.com has deployed its advanced ProVenue Automated Kiosk system for the Boston Red Sox, Pittsburgh Pirates and the San Francisco Giants. The baseball stadium kiosks are the latest advancement for the state-of-the-art fully integrated ticketing system, and will be located through Fenway Park, PNC Park, and SBC Park. The self-contained kiosk system can be seamlessly deployed across other sporting and entertainment venues. Said Mike Dee, Red Sox Chief Operating Officer, "The ticketing kiosks will improve traffic flow and create conveniences for all our fans. Our initial plan is to provide fans with the ability to print will call tickets from any of the ticketing kiosks located at Fenway Park. We look forward to adding more ticketing kiosk features in the near future." Similar to Tickets.com's Private Label website offerings, the kiosks can be customized with a team or client brand. Providing critical box office support and flexibility, the ProVenue Automated Kiosks can also be configured to operate in one of four different modes: Ticket Pick-Up Day-of-Game only, Ticket Pick-Up only, Ticket Sales only and Ticket Sales and Pick-Up.

Illuminated Keg Sign Promotes Coor’s Light

Coor’s is using this distinctive, illuminated pub sign, which is shaped like a “beer keg,” to increase awareness of Coor's Light draft.

The unit has spun aluminum end caps with decal overlays and a PETG silk-screened and

vacuum formed face. Two T8 fluorescent lamps illuminate the unit and it is mounted with a steel bracket that is powder coated to match the natural aluminum end caps.

A small laser cut sign hangs from the bottom of the keg to accent the draft feature.

The Coor's Light Illuminated Keg Sign was created by Illumina Lighting & Display, a p.o.p. firm located in Markham, Ontario Canada.


Giant Surfboard Display Features Surf Wax Candles

This giant surfboard display promotes a brand new product-Ted Shred's candles made from surf wax. The display is constructed from steel tubing and perforated metal. It was shipped to surf retailers who are snapping up both the product and displays. The surfboard display was produced by Metaline Products, a p.o.p. display company located in South Amboy, NJ.

POP Promotes Chile Lime Chicken At El Pollo Loco

El Pollo Loco Inc. is promoting the return of its popular Chile Lime Chicken for a limited time in El Pollo Loco restaurants.

"We've introduced many special flavors through the years, but Chile Lime Chicken has definitely struck a responsive chord with our guests," said Karen Eadon, Chief Marketing Officer.

Kleenex Launches New Anti-Viral Tissue

Kimberly-Clark Corporation has introduced a new facial tissue product from the Kleenex brand designed to kill viruses that cause colds and the flu. Strong enough to stand up to a cold or flu virus, but gentle enough for everyday use, Kleenex Brand Anti-Viral tissue is the only facial tissue that offers these benefits. It will be available at retail outlets throughout the U.S. by early October, just in time for the cold and flue season. Alpine Introduces Interface Adapter For iPods

Alpine Electronics of America has introduced an interface adapter that enables consumers to control their iPod music library from their in-vehicle sound system.

“There is clearly an eager market of users who want a better sounding and easier to use solution for enjoying their iPod music in the car,” said Stephen Witt, Alpine’s V.P. of Brand Marketing.


America Online Partners With Wal-Mart For Broadband Rocks Concert Series

America Online is sponsoring the Broadband Rocks Concert Series at Wal-Mart stores across the country.

Customers in more than 2,600 Wal-Mart stores will have the chance to view a series of televised concerts featuring some of the biggest names in music on the Wal-Mart Television Network, operated by Premiere Retail Networks (PRN). The regularly scheduled AOL Music broadcasts will be shown on select Friday nights throughout the year, reaching an estimated 105,000 Wal-Mart television screens around the nation. Past Live Broadband Rocks events have included performances by Avril Lavigne, Usher, Alicia Keys and Hilary Duff.

“We are excited to give our customers front row seats to experience some of today’s hottest music stars,” said Troy Steiner, Marketing Director for Wal-Mart stores. “This is one of many ways we utilize the Wal-Mart Television Network to deliver nonstop entertainment to our customers during their shopping trip.”

Balistreri has been involved in advertising, marketing and new product development for more than 26 years. Previously, he operated a consulting group, JCB & Associates. In his new position, Balistreri will be responsible for assisting Hot Brands with its developed products, introducing them into the retail and consumer markets.
