"Independence Day" Video To Be Supported With Extensive P.O.P. & Marketing Campaign

Fox Video, Century City, CA, is releasing the popular "Independence Day" film on video with its broadest advertising and marketing campaign ever.

Fox Video has created exclusive 3D Live-Action Art, which is attached directly to the videocassette box, which will be available for a limited time only. This free collectible in full-motion, depicts one of the film’s most memorable scenes, the alien ship’s destruction of the White House. The keepsake will serve as a "living package" in stores during the holiday shopping season and is suitable for framing when it is removed from the videocassette box.

Point-of-purchase displays with 3D lenticular images will highlight the offer.

Fox Video has also created an in-pack consumer promotion that offers a $5 rebate to purchasers of "Independence Day", when they purchase "The Sound of Music"videocassette.

An on-line promotion allows site visitors to participate in an interactive multi-player attack game at www.foxhome.com/id4.


Stolichnaya Unveils Flavored Vodkas

Carillon Importers Ltd., Teaneck, NJ, is introducing six flavored Stolichnaya vodkas: vanilla, coffee, cinnamon, raspberry, strawberry and peach. Flavored with all-natural ingredients form around the world, the Stoli Flavors will expand the perception of vodka as odorless and flavorless. True to the Stolichnaya tradition, each of the new Stoli Flavors is double-distilled in Russia, and then blended with the flavoring elements before a third and final filtration.

The launch will be supported with media and point-of-purchase advertising. A colorful Stoli Flavored Vodkas Bar Guide will be available, offering drink recipes.


Dauman Displays Names D. Mills As Executive V.P.

Everbrite, Inc., Greenfield, WI, parent company of Dauman Displays International Ltd., has appointed Dan Mills as Executive Vice President for Dauman Displays, Inc., in New York City.

Mr. Mills brings more that twenty years of sales and marketing experience to his new position. Prior to joining Dauman Displays, he spent ten years as an Account Executive and Vice President with DCI Marketing in the New Jersey office.

He will be responsible for general management and day to day operations.


Buena Vista Pictures Marketing Names J. Cywinski, President

Buena Vista Pictures Marketing, Burbank, CA., has appointed John Cywinski, President, it was announced by Dick Cook, Chairman of the Walt Disney Motion Pictures Group.

He was most recently the Vice President of USA Marketing for Burger King Corp., in Miami FL.

As President, Mr. Cywinski will oversee all feature film marketing for both live action and animated films for Walt Disney, Touchstone and Hollywood Pictures labels. He will directly oversee the creative advertising, promotion, media, publicity and research efforts of the feature film campaigns.


Taylor Made Golf Names M. Whan, V.P., Marketing

Taylor Made Golf Co, Inc. Carlsbad, CA, has appointed Mike Whan, a longtime Procter & gamble executive, as Vice President of Marketing. Mr Whan brings a background of consumer marketing experience, including Vice President and Business Director for the golf ball and glove division of Chicago’s Wilson Sporting Goods Co.
