YSL Partners With Bond Film: Launches "007"

Yves Saint Laurent, New York City, has partnered with the producers of the new James Bond film "GoldenEye," to launch a red lipstick called "007."

YSL is also introducing other products inspired by the movie, including gold and silver mascaras.

In-store displays for the "Goldeneye" inspired products feature a striking model packing a rhinestone pistol. The displays also promote the "Goldeneye" movie, which will be released this Christmas.


Sony Signatures Named Licensing/Merchandising Agent For The Beatles

Sony Signatures, Culver City, CA has been appointed worldwide licensing and merchandising agent for "The Beatles," it was announced by Dell Furano, President and CEO of Sony Signatures and Neil Aspinall, Chief of Apple Corps., which is owned by the band's surviving members and the estate of John Lennon.

An expanded Beatles merchandising program is planned, with products in new categries such as limited edition collectables, upscale apparel and accessories, houewares, gifts and novelties, paper products, toys and games.

The program is expected to benefit from the excitement generated by the upcoming mid-November Beatles Anthology album releases and three-night ABC Beatles miniseries.


Dyment Co. Adds Sales & Design Staff

The Dyment Co., an Erlanger, KY headquartered p.o.p. display firm, has announced the hiring of new staff to accommodate its strong growth, and to better serve customers around the nation.

Peter Crum, a 25+ year point-of-purchase industry veteran, has been appointed Creative Director. He will be based at Dyment's Erlanger, KY headquarters.

Rich Lander, with over 13 years experience in the point-of-purchase industry, has been appointed to the sales staff for the Central United States.

Jim McCullough, who has worked previously with Eddy Associates and Missouri Mounting Company, has joined the company to handle sales responsibilities in the Midwest. Tim Jolley has been named Account Executive for the company's Eastern Division in Erlanger, KY.

Anthony Camera has joined the Eastern Division as an Account Executive with sales responsibilities for the Northeast.

Jason Karp has joined the Eastern Divison sales staff, and will have responsibility for Boston and New England.


Nabisco Extending Grey Poupon Line

Nabisco is extending its Grey Poupon brand, with its introduction of 12 new Grey Poupon specialty food products.

The new Grey Poupon "premiere collection," which includes olive oil and dijon mustard oils, vinegars, salad dressings, and cooking wines, will be sold in supermarkets, specialty food outlets, gourmet food stores, gift shops and department stores.

Brian Colin, Senior Director of Business Development for Nabisco's Specialty Products Company, said, "It is our intention to make our new Grey Poupon specialty line as familiar to consumers as Grey Poupon Dijon mustard.

The famous Grey Poupon Rolls Royce will embark on a coast to coast product sampling tour.


T.H.E. Appts. M. Workman, VP Integrated Marketing

Turner Home Entertainment has appointed Mark Workman as Vice President of Integrated Marketing. Mr. Workman is responsible for coordinating the marketing efforts of all T.H.E.'s marketing efforts with those of Turner Pictures.

Mr. Workman joins T.H.E. from the Walt Disney Company, where he was the Vice President of Marketing for Buena Vista Television.
