Kodak Unveils Image Centre Solutions Stores

Eastman Kodak Company recently opened seven co-branded stores to test its new Kodak Image Centre Solutions program. The Fox Photo/Kodak Image Centre Solutions stores, are designed to be the ultimate one-stop image and gift shopping destination with new store layouts and merchandising support materials to boost sales of specialty products and services.

Products and services available include: The new Kodak Image Magic Custom Creations, featuring keepsake photo items, such as wine bottle labels, wedding videotape box covers and photo collages; Kodak Image Magic CopyPrint stations, allowing print-to-print reproductions and enhancements and photo borders in a matter of minutes; Kodak digital and Advantix cameras and demonstration areas; Photo storage and gifting products; Kodak-branded merchandise and one-hour traditional photoprocessing.

"The Kodak Image Centre Solutions Program provides a complete store environment that allows consumers to literally ‘Take Pictures. Further.’ and to stimulate new gift ideas," said Treva Backus, Manager, Retail Marketing, for Kodak Consumer Imaging. "By combining enhanced store design and visual communications with an emphasis on the Kodak brand and outstanding customer service, the program will allow photo specialty stores to stand out among the competition and become a must-visit destination spot."


Nike Introduces Hockey Line

Nike has introduced a first ever line of Nike Roller Hockey Skates, inspired by National Hockey League (NHL) rivals Russian-born Federov and Roenick.

Two exclusive Nike features ensure comfort, responsiveness and customized fit: Nike Air cushioning and Nike Form personalized fit system. There is a full length Zoom-Air cushioning in the footbed that provides the skater immediate comfort, reduced vibration and an enhanced spring during push off’s cornering. The Nike Form personalized fit system is an extremely lightweight foam, placed in the ankle area of the skate to provide an immediate and lasting personalized fit.

The line of hockey skates includes the Air Accel Elite, the Air Instigate, Air Agitate and Air Pursuit. The hockey line will be supported with a major merchandising and marketing campaign.


Fisher-Price CD-Rom Parenting Guide Introduced

The Fisher-Price Parenting Guide, a first-of-its-kind CD-ROM, has been developed as a comprehensive companion manual for new and expectant parents, packed full of tips, advice, information and resources.

Developed by Fisher-Price in conjunction with leading child behavior experts and physicians, the CD-ROM was produced by Mattel Media, a division of Mattel Inc.

At an estimated retail cost of $29.99, the CD-ROM is perfect for first time CD-ROM users with easy to follow instructions and smart software systems that automatically prompt reference articles based on data input.

The multimedia industry has been dominated by kids video games and educational products. Now, as adults become computer savvy, there is a boom in CD-ROM educational titles designed specifically for the adult market.


R. Hofmann Joins San Pellegrino As Marketing Director

Richard J. Hofmann has joined San Pellegrino USA as Marketing Director, announced William O’Donnell, President, San Pellegrino USA.

Mr. Hofmann comes to San Pellegrino from Heublein, Inc., where he served as Senior Marketing Manager and was responsible for the launch of the Smirnoff Black brand. Before joining Heublein, Mr. Hofmann worked in the Personal Products Division at Lever Brothers and at Chesebrough-Pond’s.
