With public Internet stations (eKiosk) expected to replace the 3.5 million payphones currently in use around the world, their advertising power is an untapped resource, according to the Company. eKiosks can be found in hotels, airports, amusement parks, movie theatres, hospitals and medical centers, where each station offers ClearTime, a sponsored free 10 minute Internet session that allows viewers to experience the Web in exchange for viewing an advertiser's message. ClearTime restricts the number of advertisers and allows only non-competitive ads. It also allows for meassage tailoring based on audience, region, market, season and even time of day.
This new and premium form of advertising helps companies build brands and promote sales. Unlike many forms of promotion, it is easily measured so the advertiser knows how many people viewed the ad and for how long.
