Anheuser-Busch Rolling Out Busch Ice

Anheuser-Busch has introduced Busch Ice in Wisconsin following a strong introduction in the Northeast.

It is being supported by a wide array of colorful and eye-catching point-of-sale materials including counter cards, shelf stickers, cooler stickers and danglers. The "Brave The Cold" theme is prominently featured on this POS and complements the company’s memorable "Head for the Mountains" slogan.

Anheuser-Busch already brews Bud Ice, Bud Ice Light and Natural Ice, in the ice-beer category


Hallmark Teams With NFL For "Super Bowl Party Conctest"

Hallmark Cards, which acquired the rights to the Super Bowl XXXI license from the National Football League, is conducting a sweepstakes tie-in for its Party Express brand at more than 2,000 supermarkets and specialty party retailers.

Millions of Americans now plan Super Bowl bashes. To assist football lovers in preparing for that perfect Super Bowl bash, Hallmark has created Super Bowl XXXI products including banners, streamers, invitations, napkins, plates, tablecovers, popcorn tubs and streamers, with Super Bowl logos. In addition to partyware, Hallmark is offering puzzles and greeting cards.

"The NFL is reaching out to men and Hallmark is reaching out to the women who are hostesses of these Super Bowl parties," said Linda Fewell, Hallmark spokesperson. "There is great synergy here, and we are very excited about being the official licensee of Super Bowl products."

As part of the sweepstakes, a total of 10 first prize winners get a Sony large-screen TV; second prizes include football memorabilia and one winner in the supermarket contest gets a free trip to the Pro Bowl in Honolulu.A Party Express display featuring Super Bowl XXXI products as well as a banner, signage and a register-to-win box will support the promotion.


Weider Nutrition Introduces Zinc Cold Product

Weider Nutrition Group, Salt Lake City, UT, has introduced Cold-Free zinc lozenges, sold under the Great American Nutrition label, available in grocery, discount and drug stores nationwide.

The new Cold-Free lozenges are made with zinc acetate, a form of zinc that is absorbed into the system quickly and tastes better than other forms.


Hiram Walker Promotes D. Kilfoile & A. Nagelbach

Hiram Walker, a division of Allied Domecq Spirits & Wine (ADSW), has announced the appointments of David Kilfoile as Senior Regional Marketing Manager and Andrew Nagelbach as Regional Marketing Manager.

Mr. Kilfoile, who’s based in Hiram Walker’s Southeastern Division, Boca Raton, FL office, was previously Regional Marketing Manager.

As Regional Marketing Manager, Mr. Nagelbach is responsible for the Hiram Walker Cordials and Liqueurs portfolio, in the Central Division. He was recently Director of Event Marketing for the ADSW Business Development Group in Southfield, MI.
