Display Program For Windows Millenium Edition
This program originally called for a four-sided display only. Clever design and engineering allowed for the creation of three modular sku’s: four-sided, two sided and single-sided, from mostly common tooling. The header molds, product tray molds and frame molds were identical for all three sku’s, giving the retailers the option of three different display sizes. This caused the quantity to nearly triple, meaning more product was placed in more locations. The use of MT2 edge glow plastic material in the injection-molded components resulted in a unique look that was appealing to retailers. This display, which won the Gold OMA in the Entertainment & Computers Category, was created by Design Phase, Inc., 2840 Maria Avenue, Northbrook, IL 60062.
Wilson Smart-Core Program
The objective of this program was to produce an integrated modular system which highlighted Wilson’s new packaging and helped consumers identify the right ball for their game. Wilson’s initial request was to design a counter unit for golf ball sleeves. The quantities for the counter unit pointed towards a vacuum formed tray. Once the floor stand requirement was introduced, an opportunity was identified to design an upscale injection molded tray with an integrated product guide. The textured molded tray became the cornerstone of the modular display system for golf balls and eventually utilized for golf gloves as well. This display, which won a Gold OMA in the Sports, Toys and Accessories Category, was created by Cormark, 1951 Touhy Avenue, Elk Grove Village, IL 60007.
@tmosphere Floor Display
This display has the ability to present a full line of product in a very small retail footprint (18" x 18"), yet still offer a very stylish presentation of the company’s product. @tmosphere products consist of many different sku’s that would couldn’t gain conventional retail space on drugstore shelves. In order to maximize the impact of the product line, the merchandiser has to present the complete line to show the consumer the breadth of products. The display was well received since it was shipped into each store fully assembled requiring the retailer to just insert the header into the two slots. This display, which won a Gold OMA in the Hair and Skin Care Category, was created by Point 1 Displays Inc., 5454 Cote de Liesse, Quebec, Canada H4P 1A5.
