Too Faced Cosmetics Featuring In-Store Tester Unit

The objective for this display was to create a counter tester unit that immediately provided an environment for customers which conveyed the message of the brand.

Too Faced wanted to combine the look of a makeup vanity table with the hip, retro look that encompasses the line. The display features a black acrylic tester unit base with riser that includes a silk screened mirror and three pockets for updateable graphics. The segmented three parts: face, lips and eyes, makes the display user friendly and the black acrylic allows the products to pop. The display created a fun, glamorous, yet sophisticated environment for consumers to shop.

This Too Faced Cosmetics Tester Unit was created by Preferred Display, a Clifton, NJ-based p.o.p. display firm.



Victoria’s Secret Displays Very Sexy Cosmetics

Victoria’s Secret wanted to develop a flexible modular display system for its Very Sexy Cosmetics that would provide open sell inventory and backstock organization while encouraging consumer product testing.

This display system was created with laser cutting, injection molding, vacuum forms and CNC routing work. There are·laser cut replaceable acrylic templates for product feature and testing. The injection molded product and stock-keeping drawer system features flexible dividers. The vacuum formed feature components highlight promotional product presentations.

This modular display system was created by Retail Solution Center, a Freeport, NY-based p.o.p. display firm.



Watt Stopper/Legrand Launches Merchandising Program

Watt Stopper-Legrand, Santa Cruz, CA, has launched a Go Green merchandising program to promote sales of energy efficient lighting controls.

At the heart of the campaign are modular product displays with samples of commercial or residential controls alongside application guidelines. Showing actual samples of the new low profile sensors is the best way to communicate to customers just how attractive they really are, and displaying a variety of products helps customers select the right sensors for each project.

Distributors choose display modules with products best suited for their target markets. Modules can be mounted in free-standing or wall-hanging displays or configured for countertop placement for increased visibility.



American Greetings Displays ‘Gift Card Mall’

American Greetings’ U.S. card and gift shops have introduced gift cards for other retailers, making them the first mall-based stores to offer what is known as a “gift card mall.” The stores are featuring new displays offering gift cards for 16 different food, entertainment and lifestyle retailers, including Applebee’s, Circuit City, Blockbuster and Lowe's. The program is the result of the Company’s partnership with InComm, the nation's largest gift card marketer.

The gift card malls at American Greetings and Carlton Cards stores will offer more than just gift cards. They are equipped with everything consumers need to present these popular plastic gifts with style and a personal message, including specially designed cards, bags, tissue and unique gifting solutions.



Wal-Mart Kiosks Display Digital TV Options

Some 13 million U.S. households will be impacted by the switch to digital broadcast, so Wal-Mart has made specific plans to help customers make an informed decision. U.S. households are about to receive $40 digital converter box coupons, and Wal-Mart is stocked and ready with these small converter box units designed to keep home analog TVs receiving a digital signal.

This digital shelf display will remind consumers of the impending switch to digital broadscast and their need to take action to continue receiving TV signals.

Customers can also sign up for cable or satellite service at Wal-Mart stores for their current home TV or with the purchase of a new TV through in-store kiosks with the help of a Wal-Mart associate.



Timbertech Displays New Fence Products

TimberTech Inc., Wilmington, OH, is using this display to launch its new FenceScape fence products. FenceScape composite fencing products are made from reclaimed wood fibers and pure plastic resins with a rich, natural wood pattern.

This display educates consumers about a maintenance free fence that has the look of wood and is available in four different plank styles -- the 3 1/2” & 5 1/2” dog ear and the 3 1/2” and 5 1/2” square cut. The display also illustrates the different ways to use the planks -- as a picket, privacy or shadowbox fence.

The renforced fence rail is highlighted to customers with a cut-away in the rail. Brass handles mounted to the fence posts on either side of the display encourage consumers to touch the display.

This display was created for TimberTech by Downing Retail Display, a Copley, OH-based point-of-purchase display firm.



Bi-Lo End Cap Display

The Bi-Lo chain located throughout South Eastern United States, wanted an end cap display that allowed simple installation to various height fixtures within the chain.

The key issues were the design, engineering and production of a multi-fit attachment bracket that allowed for the installation. Utilizing a l" square tubing frame-work and metal "U" channels to accept changeable graphics, the units were installed in 250 Bi-Lo stores.

The units are 53" wide x 21" high x 13" deep. The engineering and manufacturing of the units were done by DNS Display Industries Inc., Concord, Ontario, while the on-site technical support, graphics and warehousing and installation of units were handled by Berman Visuals of Atlanta, Georgia.

The Bi-Lo End Cap Display was created by DNS Display Industries, Inc., a Concord, Ontario Canada-based point-of-purchase display firm.



MTL Technologies offers the GLC™ refrigerated display, which is an attention grabber with its graphics and bright lights as well as its interactive sound and scent capabilities. Hanson Industries offers custom pole hugger signs which attract attention in and near retail stores. The signs are printed on durable 3/16" (4 MM) White Coroplast. Eastman Chemical Co. has introduced Spectar Frost incorporating a unique finish technology that delivers plastic sheet with a high-end, matte appearance, for stand-out displays. Due to its light-diffusing properties, sheet made with Spectar Frost can be used for a range of retail lighting applications, including illuminated signage, light boxes and decorative light diffusers. Clip Strip Corp. offers a wide variety of sign holders to display signs, cards, or shelf talkers at retail. Nivea Displaying Portable Branded Environments

NIVEA wanted to connect with its customers via customer service booths to deliver NIVEA samples For the campaign, Nivea needed a lightweight structure with a large footprint, easy to assemble and transport, with the ability to pack flat in wheeled cases. Nivea also needed product display areas and counter space for customer interaction.

Exhibitree Display Services created this solution using the SOLO System from Globotech Displays, based in San Diego, CA, (www.globotechdisplays.com). The modular display system provided for a versatile environment, easy to adapt to the different target locations. Full wrap graphics completely branded the displays with NIVEA’s logos and lifestyle images.



Trion Industries, Inc. will be showing its line of bar merchandisers, featuring the new WonderBar+Plus which installs in one-tenth the time with half the staff, yet offers 3 times the product display options. Jet Plastics

TM Shea Products will be showing its newest DVD/CD/Video Games Display. Sheba Dome Cat Food Upscale Powerwing. This display is designed to reflect the premium image of the Sheba Dome Cat Food brand throughout Petco Stores. Honda & Acura Cargo Tray Displays. These displays were developed to promote the sales of cargo trays for Honda and Acura. The "spilled paint" was simulated in a way that could economically be mass produced to provide a compelling image for the displays. Gillette Embrace Two Sided Rolling Cart. This display conveys effectively Gillette's Venus Embrace women's razor brand during the critical launch period. This unit can be relocated to various areas of the store and is accessible by consumers from two sides. The use of injection molded high impact styrene, six-color printed litho panels and powder coated metal peg hooks help the display to securely and efficiently organize the heavy product in a semi-permanent unit. Coppertone Continuous Spray Suncare End of Table Display. This display was designed to fit back-to-back with Walgreens mid-aisle speed table to merchandise the product out-of-category, in high traffic locations. The unit was designed to create attention while conveying the rich history of the Coppertone brand and the innovation of the continuous spray packaging. L'Oreal Bare Naturale. This display communicates upscale brand imagery and includes a unique interactive element. The interactive shade selector determines the correct shade. The modular unit fits directly into the L'Oreal wall. It ships fully assembled with brackets in the back that snap into the wall. It is easily updateable. Marketing Communications offers its printed Shelf Channel Talkers designed to fit inside the price channel. These talkers are made of a durable, tear and waterproof synthetic paper. This shelf signage system consists of a Wobbler with a unique twist to it. The twist makes it viewable from either side by the consumer as they walk down the aisle. The Wobbler is in full color, litho printed then die cut to shape. It has a bounce to it that draws the consumer's eye to the shelf. Yellow Tail Sparkling Floor Stand

This permanent floor stand was featured by Yellow Tail to introduce its sparkling wine. It is constructed of Melamine and Acrylic. The display holds three cases, 36 bottles of wine in a small footprint. The unit is on casters so that it can be placed as needed in the retail environment. The attractive header calls attention with the phrase "do you sparkle".The Yellow Tail Sparkling Floor Stand was created by Flair Display Inc., 3920 Merritt Avenue, Bronx, New York 10466.



Pottery Barn Paint Color Solution Center

The Pottery Barn Paint Color Solution Center showcases new colors in sample sizes produced by Benjamin Moore & Co.. Consumers take the custom paint samples home to experiment, and then return to the retailer to buy gallon-size paints. The counter display was created with a vacuum form structure. The curved shape and contemporary color attract consumer attention. Its internal design enables the unit to accommodate the weight of 60 paint samples, which are shipped as prepacked counter displays. The displays ship with paint samples preloaded and installed. RHINO Floorstand

RHINO designs and manufactures easy-to-use and affordable label printers for cabling contractors, security system installers, electrical supply stores and distributorships. They required a display to educate consumers about the different features of these new products. The display had to be easily restocked and organized. The design features RHINO's trademark orange and black color design. The unit houses compete labeling systems from guns to tapes in one compact footprint and provides product information. The RHINO Floorstand was created by New Dimensions Research Corp., 260 Spagnoli Road, Melville, NY 11747.



Old-Wisconsin Full View Merchandiser

This eye-catching display was designed for multiple products to entice customers. The unit presents a neat, clean country store appeal and makes selection easy. The display provides custom baskets, universal hook bars with ball and flip grid hooks. The baskets are designed for efficiency enabling the ability to add side racks. The Old Wisconsin Sausage Co. Merchandiser was created by Midway Displays Inc., 6554 South Austin Avenue, Bedford Park, IL 60638.



Red Man Smokeless Tobacco Launch

Swedish Match extended its Red Man brand and launched the new product with this Red Man Mirror Display. The image of the can, which features a raised relief imprint, was very important in the marketing strategy, so that this mirror which strongly replicates the image, was one of the items chosen as P.O.P for the launch. The promotion campaign featured l0,000 displays which were distributed to smoke shops, convenience stores and retail stores. A CNC cut screen printed mirror was used to replicate the can lid. The Red Man Smokeless Tobacco Mirror was created by Heritage Sign and Display, Inc., 344 Industrial Road, Nesquehoning, PA 18240.



Cash Register Display For Wal-Mart

This innovative display is about 2 feet tall by 5 inches square, and wraps around the pole that shields the wires powering each cash register. The display creates a unified home for a collection of financial service products, such as credit cards and product care plans. It also creates a tidy, uniform look at check out lanes. With an average of 22 pole fixtures per store, a significant number of units that had to be manufactured, shipped and installed. The MCI team recommended a lightweight and durable, high-impact polystyrene structure with a removable back panel for easy installation. The Wal-Mart Cash Register Display was created by Marketing Communications Inc., 950 Visibility Dr. NW, Suite A, Comstock Park, MI 49321.



Lucite Color Display

La Prairie required a compact version of their Color Display to test a limited number of products in a simple but luxurious counter unit. Using a 22" x l6" footprint, a clear acrylic unit was designed and fabricated with multiple layers. This layering allowed the products to be viewed and tested in both a horizontal and vertical position. The clear polished acrylic showcases the product colors and the luxurious La Prairie product packaging from all angles. The Lucite Color Display was created by Nikles Design Corp., 2365 Milburn Ave., Bldg. #4, Baldwin, NY 11510.


Avia "Performance Running" Display

This display introduced the Performance Running line to the serious athlete and drew attention to the new technologies incorporated into the latest line of professional workout shoes. The display featured a built in high energy Plasma Spark Generator under the "hero" shoe platform and with the aid of a die cut reflective wedge of clear plastic, created the appearance of lightning sparks blasting up into the shoe. The compact 2-sided footprint of the display presents twelve shoes yet easily fits in aisles, corners, against walls and close to check lanes. The Avia "Performance Running Shoe Display” was created by Cornerstone Display Group, 13834 Del Sur St., San Fernando, CA 91340.
