Ben & Jerry’s New Scoop Shop Reflects Environmental Concern
Ben & Jerry’s ice creams required a new branded interior for its Scoop Shop stores that was fun, would increase premium and add-on product sales and encourage customers to become loyal Ben & Jerry’s consumers both at the Scoop Shop and grocery store, while maintaining its environmental mission statements.
Ben & Jerry’s commissioned Chicago, IL-based design firm PRAIRIE fish to design the prototype for its shops. PRAIRIE fish was able to fulfill the project’s requirements by using recycled materials. The black and white check floor tiles are 72% recycled glass. The countertop of the service counter is 95% recycled marble and plastic chip composite stone. The traditional wainscotting was replaced by a sustainable linoleum material.
TJ’s Pizza Sunspot sign offers brilliant colors and flexibility. The power of neon plus flexibility of graphics equals Sunspots, a cost effective, light, powerful new approach to signage. Just plug it in! Sunspots requires no service, uses one simple fluorescent bulb, which is magnified by the unique light multiplier design.
