Adidas Deploys adiVerse Virtual Footwear Wall
Adidas is using adiVerse, a virtual footwear wall that puts the ultimate aisle of shoes at the fingertips of shoppers. This solution is an extension of the real product displays where shoes would be shown on a shelf, but virtually. adiVerse is powered by 2nd generation Intel® Core™ i7 processors, which deliver visually smart performance, allowing users to interact with footwear to an unprecedented level of detail.
Using state of the art touch-screen and precision real-time 3D rendered products, shoppers can select products on a virtual shelf, pull products, look onto the product from any angle, rotate it, zoom it in, and get further product and technology information.
Built-in anonymous video analytics provides metrics on shopper trends, demographics, and shopping patterns.
Counter Display Launches Pinnacle Golf Balls
This corrugated counter display is being used by Acushnet Company to launch Pinnacle Dimension Golf Balls. The unit has a very small foot print of l7"H x 5 3/4"D x l0 5/8"W. The counter unit features an arced shape riser and textured background, which matches the packaging.
The unit merchandises 36 2 ball sleeves stepping up from left to right on vacuum formed inserts. The trial launch display offered two golf balls for $2.00. This Pinnacle Golf Ball Counter Display was created for Achushnet by The Aronson Group, an Englewood, NJ-based p.o.p. display firm.
Hunter’s Specialties Develops New Floor Display
Hunter’s Specialties created this wire floor display specifically for “C” stores in prime hunting areas. The display is designed to merchandise an array of hunter’s accessories, including its i-KAM XTREME video eyeware, a hands free way to record live events. The display is adjustable to promote different products from season to season.
The wire unit measures 30" wide x 54" high x 18" deep. The back panel has l" on center wires and supplied with 24 8" scan hooks The base is perforated metal and has casters for easy mobility. Vans By Thalia Opens Co-Branded Surf Shop
Vans and Thalia Surf Shop have opened Vans’ first boutique surf partnership, Vans by Thalia Surf Shop in Laguna Beach, CA. Customers can expect to find Vans’ pinnacle surf and lifestyle footwear and apparel as well as special projects only available at Vans by Thalia in a setting that melds Vans’ heritage with Thalia’s bohemian beach culture. The store will open with the spotlight on Vans’ classic and progressive surf styles.
“Vans by Thalia Surf Shop is the perfect opportunity to share the many stories we have with Vans Surf,” said Doug Palladini, Vans V.P., Marketing. “This retail and marketing space will allow us to showcase Vans Surf product and content and broadcast them worldwide.”
Niketown London Unveiled As The World’s Largest Nike Store
NIKE has reopened its flagship Niketown store in central London, following extensive redevelopment that makes it the largest Nike store in the World. Niketown London now covers approximately 42,000 sq. ft. over four floors. Niketown London has expanded from three to four floors with services and experiences that include: A two-floor NIKEiD studio (and football boot-specific iD studio) for consumers to go online to customize their own footwear, clothing and equipment, complete with design consultants to assist them. A state of the art football boot fitting machine allows players the chance to steam mould boots to their feet. A boot embroidery service allows names, flags and numbers to be stitched onto football boots.
Video gait analysis and trained staff help runners work out exactly what type of shoe suits their running style.
The third floor showcases the latest women’s apparel, footwear and action sports.
Hill & Partners, a Quincy, MA-based exhibit firm, recently created a custom rental linear exhibit program for Polartec. Polartec has used the exhibit at three national shows on the East and West coasts in addition to two international shows in Prague and Paris. The 10 x 20 exhibit conveys a sense of depth through the creative use of frosted Plexiglas panels with dimensional branding elements and product display areas for Polartec garments. A trapezoid-shaped front reception desk doubled as a conference table and demo counter with storage space. The booth is capped by a ceiling, providing additional structure and dimension. Under Armour Basketball Launch. Under Armour wanted a product line launch which was all about acquiring mindshare, that grabbed the consumer's attention as soon as they walked into the store. The design accomplished this through visibility, flexibility and versatility. The display grouping featured distinct basketball court imagery along with the vibrant brand colors of yellow and black and the unique juked yellow arrow. Polar ‘Listen To Your Body’ Showcase
Polar has created this permanent fixture to showcase its heart and activity monitors at Paragon sporting goods stores. The durable display features 18 gauge steel construction and a powder coated silver finish. The thick glass shelving with beveled & polished edges makes the Polar procut line stand out visually. The products are illuminated in the showcase. The showcase features adjustable shelves on stainless steel standards. Aluminum clad sliding doors with key locks provide product security. The unit is 70" wide x 20" deep x 38" high. Mizuno Four-Sided Mobile Fixture
The Sports Authority Athletic Apparel fixture was designed to provide a free-standing roll-about to merchandise a variety of colors and styles in an organized manner to make consumer shopping and selection easier. It features adjustable hanger bars and provides the flexibility to merchandise pants, tops and shorts. The fixture is constructed from metal, with a silver powder finish and the 2-sided sign holder is interchangeable. The ends of the hanger bars feature a dimensional logo. Hunter’s Specialties For Women Display
This custom Hunter’s Specialties display is designed for versatility. It features a square metal tube and wire grid panels. The use of 9" stock hooks, 12" hanger bars and plastic header holders made this display economical and practical to manufacture. Its versatility allowed hooks and hanger bars to be adjustable for future merchandising consideration. The display panels are 58" high by 24" wide with grid wires 3" o/c vertical and 6" o/c horizontally and supplied with casters for easy retail positioning. All metal components are powder coated PMS l43 ochre yellow and the informative graphics complement the displays. This configuration of the display features hunting products for women, as featured on the display header.
