This modular display is constructed from metal, MDF, tubing and plastic. All parts have a durable powder finish. The display consists of shelves for folded sweaters and a hang bar for warm ups and wind breakers. The metal sign frame is interchangeable for product information cards. The display has helped Mizuno gain distribution, place more product SKU’'s and increased turns. Reebok And ZoomSystems Form Retail Partnership
Reebok’s Sports Licensed Division (SLD) has formed a partnership with San Francisco based automated retailer ZoomSystems to bring the brand to ZoomShops in airports, military bases, resorts and shopping malls across the U.S.
The partnership between Reebok and ZoomSystems will mark the first time that ZoomSystems has ever partnered with an apparel brand. Reebok SLD and ZoomSystems plan to expand to 375 locations around the country within the next three years.
“Reebok’s Sports Licensed Division is excited to bring consumers the instant gratification that ZoomSystems automated retail provides to consumers,” said Kenny Gamble, VP of Reebok’s Sports Licensed Division.” Shoppers can get their favorite team logo, choose between men’s or women’s styles and select appropriate sizes.”
Gower Smith, CEO of ZoomSystems, said, “It’s exciting to be offering apparel in a ZoomShop for the first time with Reebok’s Retro Sport Collection.”
Best Buy Rolls Out Health & Fitness Products
Best Buy has rolled out health and fitness products at 600 Best Buy stores across the country. Best Buy’s offerings enable consumers to connect technology with wellness and with others who share their fitness goals. Available products include personal gear related to running, walking, swimming and yoga as well as other fitness accessories.
A 30-foot-long in-store health and fitness presentation area enables consumers to sample many of these devices before they buy. On display are state-of-the-art heart rate monitoring watches, pedometers, special MP3 players, earbuds, headphones, yoga mats, scales and blood pressure monitors.
Clif Bar Launches Sports Specialty Retail Display Rack
Clif Bar & Company, Emeryville, CA, has introduced this sports specialty retail display rack, which is designed to carry the athlete’s assortment of Clif Bars and Clif Shots including Clif Bar, Builder’s, Mojo and the Clif Shot portfolio. The durable metal construction will merchandise Clif Bar & Company products season after season. Optional side baskets are available for additional display capacity. The header is printed on New Leaf paper, 100% recycled, 50% post-consumer content, processed chlorine free with vegetable based inks.
Converse Opens Specialty Store In Manhattan’s SoHo
Converse has opened its first specialty retail store in Manhattan’s SoHo shopping district to showcase Converse’s independent spirit and diverse product offering, including one-of-a-kind footwear, a brand new collection of women’s and men’s apparel and unique product customization capabilities.
“The Converse brand was first in sports and first in rock 'n roll so we’re excited to bring our fans the first Converse New York City specialty retail store,” said Michael Spillane, Converse CEO. “Converse has deep roots in New York City culture from basketball to the underground music scenes of the 80s and 90s. New Balance and Westin Hotels & Resorts have forged an exclusive, worldwide partnership to help hotel guests overcome the hurdles of exercising on the road by providing New Balance footwear, apparel and fitness program content. Guests of the Westin pilot properties have access to New Balance shoes, apparel and accessories through a product loan program. Guests can borrow running shoes with brand new, disposable insoles for each use, as well as a variety of men’s and women’s apparel.

Road Runner Sports Opens High-Tech Store In Campbell, CA
Road Runner Sports recently opened its newest retail store in Campbell, CA, just outside of San Jose. The store is over 7,000 sq. ft. to house the area’s biggest-ever selection of running, walking and fitness gear. Road Runner Sports offers customers an interactive Shoe Dog foot analysis process. Guests will be able to interact with a dynamic, touch-screen video program that brings fun to the Shoe Dog process of easily finding the ever-elusive, perfect-fitting running or walking shoe.

EA Sports Launches Event Marketing Tour For FIFA Soccer 11
Electronic Arts recently conducted the “EA SPORTS™ FIFA Soccer 11 Takeover Tour,” showcasing EA’s acclaimed FIFA Soccer 11 videogame and PlayStation®3 (PS3™) computer entertainment systems. Two vehicles outfitted with 15 TVs along with 15 PS3™ systems, plus a full-time crew, traveled around the nation. At each Tour stop, fans had the opportunity to play FIFA Soccer 11, and receive free prizes including Adidas-branded FIFA Soccer 11 T-shirts and PSP® go systems or a PS3™ system. Taco Bell Turns Bowl Season Into ‘Box Season’
Taco Bell will recently tied into the College Football Bowl season with its “Touchdown $5 Buck Box.” The Touchdown $5 Buck Box included five menu items in a special BCS/ESPN football field-themed package and featured the all-new Beefy Crunch Burrito. Created in conjunction with ESPN and the BCS, the Touchdown $5 Buck Box featured tune-in messages for the Rose Bowl presented by VIZIO, Tostitos Fiesta Bowl, Discover Orange Bowl, Allstate Sugar Bowl and Tostitos BCS National Championship Game.
The box could be converted into a mini finger flick football field with the taco wrapper folding into a football. David Ovens, Chief Marketing Officer, Taco Bell, said, “The Touchdown $5 Buck Box satisfied the largest appetites with a combination of Taco Bell favorites, an icy-cold drink, and a themed ‘Touchdown’ big box we developed in conjunction with ESPN ” Draftfcb, Irvine created the flick-football packaging for the Touchdown $5 Box and the in-store messaging.
PrimaLoft Runs QR Barcode Promo.
PrimaLoft and Eastern Mountain Sports (EMS) have teamed up to launch an in-store promotion involving a proprietary WIFI in-store network and Quick Response (QR) barcodes. The PrimaLoft Infonet technology utilizes a dedicated in-store network that is available to EMS customers with a smartphone or other WIFI enabled device.
EMS customers can instantly learn more about PrimaLoft insulation available in EMS garments. The technology utilizes a proprietary system, called BuyInfonet, which allows product display areas to be supplied a closed in-store network signal. A customer’s WIFI enabled device can join the in-store network, which directs them to specific, technical information about PrimaLoft® insulated EMS garments. The technology was developed by Alternatives, PrimaLoft’s New York-based agency. EMS customers can also access the information by scanning Quick Response (QR) codes on point of sale graphics in-store.
