Wilson Develops Baseball Glove Floor Display

This Ball Glove Floor Display was produced for Wilson Sporting Goods Company.

The vac-formed trays spin independent of one another providing ease of “shoppability.” The trays have a custom designed contoured well which allows proper placement of product creating an organized and appealing floor display.

The display header prominently conveys that Wilson is the “Official Ball Glove Of Major League Baseball.”

This display was created by Great Northern Corp., a Racine, WI-based p.o.p. display firm.


Reebok Launches Sounds & Rhythm Of Sport

Reebok Launches Sounds & Rhythm Of Sport Reebok has launched a new branding initiative, the “Sounds & Rhythm of Sport,” which showcases the brand's new RBK Collection, a street-inspired collection of edgy and stylish footwear and apparel. The campaign features Reebok's NBA, NFL and tennis athletes paired with many of the music industry’s edgiest hip-hop and rap artists.

Retail promotions include partnerships with more than 1,000 popular music stores. Beginning in the U.S. with select music retailers-Record Town, Strawberries, Camelot, Coconuts and Warehouse Records-Reebok will introduce and display its new RBK products up to 30 days in advance of retail availability. In addition to the displays, RBK listening stations will be featured in the record stores, continually reinforcing Reebok's connection to the young consumer.


Timex Debuts Ironman Speed & Distance System

Timex is introducing the Ironman Speed & Distance System, which consists of: a Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver produced by Garmin International and a watch/monitor that are connected wirelessly by a radio signal. The receiver captures position data from GPS satellites and transmits precise, speed, distance and pace readings to the watch. “This product brings the reliability of GPS technology to athletes in a user-friendly package,” said Gary Kelley, Garmin’s Director of Marketing.


Gateway CyberSpot Kiosks Connect Fans

Olympic athletes in Salt Lake City for the 2002 Olympic Winter Games were able to keep in touch with fans, family and friends via video e-mails at Gateway CyberSpot kiosks located in Gateway stores nationwide.

The Gateway CyberSpots allowed anyone to record a video message and email it to an individual Olympian or an entire team, free of charge.

In each store, a listing of U.S. Olympic athletes was posted, with local athletes highlighted. Gateway representatives were on hand at all kiosks to help if needed.


Bud Light Sponsors Professional Bull Rider

Bud Light is sponsoring professional bull rider Ross Coleman through the 2002 PBR Bud Light Cup season. “Ross Coleman is a perfect fit for the Bud Light PBR team,” said Tony Ponturo, V.P., Corporate Media and Sports Marketing, Anheuser-Busch, Inc.

Bud Light’s sponsorships of Coleman and Hedeman include personal appearances and a line of p.o.s. materials including both riders and the PBR Bud Light Cup logo.


Canadian Mist Celebrates Escape To The Great Outdoors

Canadian Mist has launched an on- and off-premise promotion celebrating the great outdoor experience. Displays and case cards feature both classic Canadian Mist bottle packs amidst a perfect outdoor setting. Back by popular demand is the Canadian Mist float plane in the massive 7-foot or miniature 24-inch sizes, which consumers can purchase by sending in a mail-in request.

Once again, Canadian Mist's outdoor sweepstakes program offers consumers chances to win portable outdoor chairs, Canon waterproof cameras, Orvis fishing gear and a grand prize trip to a Canadian fishing lodge.


Burger King Inflatable Helmets

Football is a very popular theme for P.O.P. promotions. Inflatable helmets create in-store awareness and excitement for the entire football season. Spalding Sports Worldwide Top-Flite XL 3000 24 Dozen Floorstand

This display was designed to create awareness with respect to the product improvements while giving the retailer a profitable, refillable unit that ultimately developed long term customers buying the same products in larger volumes. The floorstand is unique and innovative in many ways. The shape of the tray will carry through on all Top-Flite merchandising vehicles, providing instant brand recognition. The unit also promotes the entire product line and showcases the product on three sides with graphics accordingly, increasing visual impact and creating impulse purchases. The riser is printed offset 4-colors and varnish laminated to B flute singleface corrugated. The Top-Flite XL 3000 24 Dozen Floor Stand was created by Triangle Display Group, 601 E.
