Sprint Kiosks Placed In Movie Theaters

Sprint is placing kiosks in movie theaters nationwide to reach movie goers. Sprint customers can scan in a code from their phones, and the kiosks will print coupons for snacks and drinks. Through this promotion, Sprint is rewarding its mobile phone customers as well as attracting potential customers with a Sprint branding message.

The kiosk works by instructing Sprint customers to text a certain word to a certain phone number. The customers then receive a text message code. The kiosk includes a computer screen next to a scanning device, and people hold up their cell phones, scan that code and can browse through a few offers on the screen. The customers select their offer, and the kiosk prints a receipt that people can take to the concession stand.



Whirlpool Displays Appliance Accessories

Whirlpool is using this Appliance Accessories Display at a variety of retail outlets, including electronics stores and appliance stores. The display is constructed from metal with metal shelves which are adjustable on the slatwall back. Pegs are also used for carded merchandise. POS is used on the sides of the display to feature specific products and there is an interchangeable sign frame at the top of the display. AVT Places Need-It-Now ‘Baby Stations’ In Westfield Mall Locations

AVT, a vending solutions provider, has placed Need-It-Now “Baby Stations,” which are custom vending machines with essential baby necessities including feeding products, first aid products and toys, baby wipes, bottles, and pacifiers, in Westfield Mall locations in both Northern and Southern California. Other products in the custom vending machine are diapers, rash cream, baby Tylenol, medicine droppers, baby formula, Pedialite water and soft cookies. Each Baby Station machine is vibrantly wrapped with themed graphics and includes a 7" Widescreen LCD display to stream information and video feeds about the products being sold.

“This brings peace of mind to families knowing there is a convenient and accessible solution for every baby’s need,” said Shannon Illingworth, AVT founder. "An advantage for the shopping mall is that parents don’t have to cut their shopping time short because they left the house without all the baby essentials.”



Green Mountain Coffee Offers Vending Solution For Single-Cup Brewing

Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, is offering a new vending unit designed for single-cup brewing in high-traffic commercial environments. “This innovative system will make people think about coffee from a vending machine in a whole new way,” said T.J. Whalen, V.P., Marketing for GMCR's Specialty Coffee Business Unit. “With its value proposition of quality, variety and convenience, this unit brings a coffeehouse experience to vending locations.” Operators can choose to offer up to 12 product selections from more than 60 coffees, teas, and hot cocoa in K-Cups from GMCR’s family of brands.



Vans Develops Environmentally Friendly Display

Vans wanted to develop an environmentally friendly display to showcase its own recycled shoe line. This unit is fabricated from recycled cork, metal and graphics. This display’s construction had little impact on the environment, and the display unit is designed to last for years. Vans teamed up with Fabcon Creative, a Santa Ana CA-based point-of-purchase display firm, to create this environmentally friendly display.



Monterey Mushrooms Displays Promote Health Benefits

Monterey Mushrooms is encouraging shoppers to combat Vitamin-D deficiencies by eating its new Sun Bella™ mushroom, which is the first packaged fresh mushroom to provide at least 100% of the recommended daily intake of Vitamin D in a single, three-ounce serving through a natural sun ripening process.

Sun Bella™ mushrooms' increased Vitamin D level does not include additives, supplements, or chemicals and the vitamin D is stable-maintaining its nutritional value even after cooking or freezing.

Home Depot Resets Kitchen Sink Displays

Home Depot recently reset its kitchen sink displays. The new display panels are organized into five-display sets. The overall program involved the display of 42,000 sinks from seven different vendors. Store specific plan-o-grams were developed to accommodate individual store needs. Wine Market Assistant Provides Cross-Selling Opportunities

Agilysys, a leading provider of IT solutions, and Wine Market Assistant, have introduced a turnkey kiosk solution to grocery & beverage retailers. The kiosk, which assists customers with ratings and reviews for wine, beer and spirits, is instrumental in increasing beverage sales and driving cross-selling revenue.

The kiosk offers product ratings and reviews, suggests complementary items, and announces special promotions to customers. Customers can either scan an item such as a wine bottle, meat or seafood, or browse the kiosk to seek suggestions on product pairings.

Sephora Favorites Moisturizers Display

This Sephora Favorites Moisturizers display was designed to showcase 16 best selling moisturizers. The fixture needed to be upscale, eye catching and easily updatable. The display is produced in fabricated metal with LED lighting and fabricated acrylic product holders. The unit has four subcategories so the consumer can focus on their particular problem/solution. The W/M Display Group created a merchandising program for Minn Kota's trolling motors, options and accessories for use in independent marine dealers and mass merchants. The display is available in a variety of configurations and can be easily reconfigured in the field without tools. The display allows for merchandising and demonstration of product. North American Coffee Partnership wanted a clean simple merchandiser that conveyed a premium brand with a purpose. This display gained off-shelf inventory for ethos, and conveyed the message "Helping Children Get Clean Water". The ethos Water Rack was created by Racks Inc., 7684 St. Andrews Avenue, San Diego, CA 92154.



This metal cabinet features interchangeable components to use Industrial Channels across multiple brands and product categories. Bosch needed a display that would accommodate over 100 sku’s, from several brands. The display needed to work on gondolas, slatwall and on countertops. It needed to allow for interchangeable graphics for each brand (Bosch, Vermont American, Skil, Dremel and Rotozip). All internal components on the display are adjustable and removable. The result was one cabinet that replaced up to six different cabinets, which resulted in tremendous cost savings. Flair Display Inc. created this floor mass stacking display for importers/distributors of wine for Stew Leonard Stores. The display features three bottle glorifiers on the unit. The display is made of a steel tube and wire and cases of wine are to be stacked all around the display. The graphics are changeable with a new graphic to be supplied monthly or as the stock is sold out. There are about 5 - 7 displays at each Stew Leonard store. Nashville Display created this Speed & Strength Motorcycle Apparel Display. This modular display is constructed from metal, wire and tubing. The tubular hanger arms and glove pegs have the brand logo decal on the front metal plate and are adjustable on the wire grid. The metal parts have a bright silver finish. MEASA Displays Mexico designed this modular floor display for convenience stores. It can hold several bottle presentations and cans. Trion Industries Inc. offers this merchandising system featuring plug-in J-hook wire faceouts mounted to a stand back bar to create aisle-long cookware merchandising for a big box environment. The display is powder coated in black to match and brand the items. The system is a custom-from-stock-component creation. Northern Wire Products produced this three sided DVD Waterfall Family Entertainment Tower. This sturdy metal display is capable of holding up to 4l6 DVD Movie/Game products within a 4 sq. ft. store footprint. The display features colorful graphics to attract shoppers. AMD Industries created this end cap display for Best Buy to Showcases Sony's new energy saving ECO HDTV. The display is designed with minimal structure to accentuate a light airy feeling and make the TV appear as if it were floating above the rest of the unit. A functioning watt meter gives a reading in real time of the TV's power usage relative to a standard HDTV. Durable construction and interchangeable graphic panels insure a long display life span. Nashville Display created this Blu-ray End Cap Display from metal as well as screened plastic end panel signs and header sign. The metal parts have a bright silver powder finish. This display stocks Blu-ray players and movies, and features a 37” wide screen HDTV, and Blu-Ray player to demonstrate its superior resolution. Red Leaf Retail Concepts created this vibrant 12’ display for Samsung to launch its new LED television series. By using translucent acrylic Red Leaf was able to provide layering of the communications, creating an emotional connection to the national ads while re-enforcing the thin and light characteristics of these TVs. Additional product oriented layers were completed with an interactive podium, allowing consumers to easily access specific feature and benefit information on screen. The graphic application system was designed to be easily updatable for future product launches. The fixture currently holds the LED TV Series 6 & 8® but was constructed to be expandable and easily retrofitted for future and additional products. Lynch Retail Display Group produced this consumer electronics display for Sony. The display is an HDNA End-Cap Display produced for the Sam's Club retail outlets. The size of the display with glowing red lights captures the attention of consumers and also provides detailed graphics on the usage and attributes of the product.
