Sterling Promotional Corp, White Plains, NY, will be showing this inflatable chair, designed together with Pepperidge Farm, as part of a huge nationwide promotion for the Pepperidge Farm Gold Fish crackers. Conocraft, McAfee, NJ, will be showing Nabisco Aisle Architecture, which was designed to increase both overall category sales and Nabisco sales by pulling traffic down the aisle. Aisle Architecture is a new concept that turns the entire grocery aisle into one giant display. Various sized riser cards can be seen from virtually anywhere in the store, and serve as a beacon to consumers luring them into the aisle. The Nabisco message is also seen on the reverse side of the display. Complementing the riser cards are end-caps, brand designators, shelf-talkers, floor-talkers and channel strips that continue to involve the customer as they enter the aisle. Fiberoptic Lighting Inc., Grants Pass, OR, will be introducing "The Mannequin Cube" which may be used to enhance retail environments. Fiber optics can provide increased profits with high visibility and low maintenance. "The Mannequin Cube" shows various effects using a wide range of substrates, three dimensional lettering and interesting fiber optic "animation". Frank Mayer & Associates, Inc., Grafton, WI, will be showing "My Interactive Pooh Display" produced for Mattel Toys. A motion sensor causes Pooh to speak directly to the consumer and draws attention to the display. Four push buttons on the display activate different qualities of the toy, clearly showing its features. Because the display demonstrates the features/benefits of the toy so well, retailers have enthusiastically accepted the new product and display, and current sales have exceeded expectations. Smurfit-Stone Display Group, Sandston, VA, will be showing this Eckerd Cough/Cold Center which was created to replace a permanent display fixture yet still achieve product visibility with ease of placement and set-up at retail. The unit may be restocked by the retailers with pre-existing display components that interlock on the center column to give flexibility according to sellout history. It is also adaptable to changes in product mix by accommodating existing powerwings used in the current program. RTC Industries Inc., Rolling Meadows, IL, will be showing the Kmart Video Games System, which was designed to create a distinctive Kmart-owned video game department. Kmart wanted to re-establish its "ownership" of the department and gain the flexibility to adapt to changing consumer tastes. The system leveraged Kmart’s existing fixturing systems to minimize expense. Visually Kmart’s video game department identity is maintained regardless of which brands are emphasized. A high level of modularity allows Kmart to quickly change the department in response to market dynamics. All department signage can be changed because of simple lift and drop header graphics. The interactive unit is engineered to accept any of the major video game hardware. The new merchandising program is a definitive success with more than 1,200 displays having been placed. Art-Phyl Creations, Hialeah, FL, will be showing its expanded line of stock plastic KWIK-PANEL displays and its new TRI-PANEL revolving display racks. Heritage Frame & Glass Creations, Ltd., Nesquehoning, PA, will be showing this Timberwolf Combination write-on board and cork board. The unit measures 16" x 24" and the marker board surface is made with a laminated color lithograph. This allows for more detailed and realistic artwork than can be easily incorporated into a standard dry erase write-on surface. Acrylic Designs, Inc., Springfield, Vermont, will be showing this floor standing unit made with 3/8" thick clear and frosted acrylic with brushed aluminum accents and mounted Duratrans. The base is MDF with brushed aluminum laminate. Header panels are screen printed brushed aluminum. The overall appearance conveys a cold, crisp and clean image for the product Smirnoff Vodka. Thorco Industries, Lamar, Missouri, will be showing this Wal-Mart DVD Merchandising Showcase. The display features six tiered wire shelf assembler-sheet metal end panels with front pricing strips. A sheet metal and tubing frame support the TV monitor and electronic components. Each unit contains an 8" color die-cut reflective graphic kit. 3 Strikes Custom Design, Stamford, CT, will be showing its Matrix AbsorbOBar and Counter Mats which feature its patented Matrix printing technique on terry cloth with another patented process that makes the fabric super absorbent. The process gives the Matrix cloth the ability to absorb liquids while maintaining a dry surface. It is used for bar mats in on-premise accounts as well as for in-store demonstration mats by cosmetics companies.
